I hope he gets jettisoned tommorow.

Can JD do it or will he need permission?

Will Rodgers be in JDs ear to axe him because he benched Boyle his buddy?

Um, JD didn't create this god awful offense. THese terrible QBs are all on JD. F him.

If I was Woody and Douglas came to me and said he wanted to fire Saleh I would say, you are the GM go for it.

A half hour after the Saleh firing press conference i would call Douglas into the office and fire him.

Douglas is at least as culpable if not MORE than Saleh for the team.

These two are a package deal they should both stay or both go.

In any case they are all 100% totally safe because of the Rodgers injury excuse.

The very second Rodgers went down both these guys jobs were totally safe.

None of this matters until Woody sells the team we have had failure after failure, how many times are we going to do the same thing and blame the people Woody signed off on. His stupid chain and his attention whore media garbage. The only hires Woody ever got right were his media team who do a phenomenal job fooling and ******* over fans. Especially these poor “Die hard” fans who put in so much time and money to be screwed over for decades. Funny enough it’s a JetBlue production.

At the rate this is going they’re going to finish the season losing 10 in a row.  I don’t care what anyone says - everyone HAS to be fired.

after finishing last year losing 6 straight, it’s unacceptable.

It’s a long shot but possible. AR sees for himself that JD and Saleh are trash and just had to deal with it. It’s unfortunate that he got hurt but sh*t happens. It would be terrible for JD to make anymore roster decision, especially when he really feels the heat and can cause much more desperate damage. I want both gone.

The worse the offense gets each week, the more I start wondering if the offense can break mediocre even with Rodgers at the helm. I can see everybody but maybe Ulbrich getting washed out mid-season next year. Saleh, Hackett, Calabrese, Douglas. Let somebody else manage the transition from Rodgers to the next QB.

  • I think the right answer In usual situations would be to fire JD, Saleh and Hackett.
  • The Jets being the Jets have committed to AR8 for at least another year.   He likes Hackett and Saleh.  Ulbrich is a good DC.
  • JD has done a miserable job overall selecting the players for this team, including OL to block for the QB.  He is also responsible for no reasonable back up QB.
  • All of the CS and JD is under contract for another year.   Firing people means he pays them not to work.
  • So, if I am Woody (this is another thread), I am firing JD, telling the new GM to find players for the AR8 team, and that he gets full carte Blanche after AR8 retires, and he can make the choice to jettison AR8 after 2024.  But for 2024, its AR8, Saleh, Hackett and Ulbrich.
  • In the end, under this plan, JD ends up being the lucky one.

Joe Douglas has a worse record than Jamal Adams drafter Mike Maccagnan.

This is really a 2-8 football team, worse than the Giants and Cards.

Only team demonstrably worse is Tepper’s mess in CAR.

The Jets had no business beating BUF and the NYG.  It took miraculous finishes that had a combined probability / repeatability factor of under 1%.

The only teams the Jets somehow beat where they actually outplayed their opponent are DEN and PHI.

It took Lane Johnson going down in the 1st Q and Slay not playing for the Jets to pull it out vs PHI.

If they played either team right now, they’d get smoked 24-0 or worse.

Tepper is a clueless meddler, and that seems to be common ground he shares with the doofus Johnson bros.

I'm sure it's been said but has there ever been a situation where a team can lose this many games at the back end of two seasons and still have a job?
