Zach Wilson still isn't good

ZW is done here, he will never take another snap again for the jets, and good riddance. Now, that in no way fixes the disaster we have on offense, and quite frankly, neither does a 40 year old AR. Everyone spent so much time blaming everything on ZW that they completely lost site on how bad everything is on offense. All I kept reading was how Simien is a professional QB, he can run this offense. Boyle is a proffesional QB and a quick decision maker, he will distritube the ball all over and fix this offense. Well, the offense looked like dog sh*t with everyone. The QB is one position, not 11. We have 2 good pieces on offense and the rest is dog sh*t. We have zero ability to run, zero ability to pass protect, one good receiver and one good back and the rest is dog sh*t

You all get that right? The Jets were totally inept in every statistical state on offense. He was at the bottom of QB's starting in the league at 73.2 QB rating. He had 6 TD's and 7 INTs. He missed open revievers all the time and took bad sacks.

Just beacuse a 3rd string biuddy of Rodgers named Tim Boyle was bad does not make Zach Wilson good.

What it means is JD built one of the worst QB rooms in football.

Rodgers had 0 QB rating playing in the same O.

Wilson is bad

Wilson is better than Boyle

Wilson is better than Siemian

Thus you play your best alternative, that being Wilson

Wilson will be gone next year so no long term worries but he is the only guy that can seem to actually win a game for the Jets.

I think Wilson is shelved for the year

I love football so I’ve just been watching redzone these last 2 weeks. Jets are completely unwatchable, regardless of which horrific qb they trot out there. It’s just not entertaining.

JD saleh, Hackett, everyone should be fired. (They won’t be unfortunately) A qb should be drafted with our top 5 pick (but we won’t because it will upset Arod)

The direction and state of the franchise gives me nothing to look forward to. It’s so hard to root for them when everything they do is wrong.

I kind of agree that this team has been so bad that I want to see them suffer humiliation. I kind of felt like that with Bowles and Gase but I had hope of regime and QB changes to fix the problems. It’s gotten to the point of no hope at all with this franchise.

It’s gotten so bad that I almost want to see Darnold vs Wilson in a Super Bowl where they are starting for the Patriots and Giants.

Same here.  Plus if we're rooting for the tank, it's in our best interests for either Siemian or Boyle to be our QB.

I get the feeling many Jet fans are upset and want someone to pay the price for something.  Even if nobody ends up getting fired, I'm rooting for the Jets to end the season with 10 losses in a row.  I want to see Woody's response to that (especially after he raised prices on the STH's).

I liked Bowles as a person so I didn't want to see him suffer any humiliation.  I still root for the guy to succeed.

Gase I couldn't stand but I think he was just plain nuts.

Saleh seems like he's a nice guy and I don't dislike him or anything but sometimes he's really annoying and comes across as a phony.  For example, he talks about the Navy Seals (who are all about "extreme ownership") but doesn't come anywhere close to living up to it.  The convo he had with Joe B about ZW ("regarding number 3, Joe B, are you serious?") was absolutely outrageous!  I'm surprised it hasn't been picked up yet by sportswriters.  Also, he talks in PC's like he's the DC rather than the HC.  And he's yet another Jet HC who loves to talk smack before the team ever accomplishes anything.  There are more things but those are a few off the top of my head.

Back on track to what, exactly? He’s a huge bust, a terrible QB, and his future is holding a clipboard. He’s currently doing his future job.

If my math correct, didn’t he win 9 of the 11 games we’ve won this season and last?

It seems they are trying to avoid injury and further depleting what little trade value he might have for a team that thinks they can rehab him. There's no other way to look at the other two guys as a better option to put on the field.

Are we STILL rolling out the "He Won" argument, even now?

SMH.

And no, the Jets record in games started by Zach Wilson the past two years is 8-10.  Not 9.

Just like our GM and Head Coach, Zach is basically a .333 or worse winner.

Post it without Zach they’ve lost out twice now after he’s benched

The bottom line is this regime is simply AWFUL

Context matters. They’ve benched him late after the season is lost and the team quits on the Head Cheerleader.

I think we should hope to lose out, get a top 4 pick. Trade down for a 2nd plus.  Use the later first on WR or OL then use the 2nd on a QB we can develop.

If wen are stuck with Rodgers, you can afford to take a QB a little later that you can groom while at the same time rebuilding the offense so the young QB can step into a functional system that isn't reliant on one good WR and no protection.

5-4 in 2022 and 4-6 in 2023 = 9-10 including beating Buffalo twice and the Eagles. The Jets are 2-8 without him. Not saying he is good. Just the facts. If we want to win any more games this year, then Zach is the best of 3 bad options. If we don’t want to win, we stick with Boyle.

And the QB position is #1 on the list of problems.

But you knew that.

Sure, it’s like beating a dead horse tho. We all know the qbs are absolutely terrible.

constantly talking about the guy who’s the 3rd qb on game day tho?? We know he sucks

This is not minimizing how bad Zach has been, just responding to the statement that he has been the only guy who has won some games for us the last two years. He played with the same sh*ty OC’s, OL and other assorted bums as all the others did. That’s it. Period.

Zach Wilson is the poster child for why "wins" isn't a QB stat in football like it is in Baseball.

Any and almost all wins we've got the past three years have been in spite of Zach.  They're not his wins.

And to be clear, he didn't play with "the same bums".  He played plenty of games early in each year with healthy teams that hadn't yet quit, while all the backups have played after saving the season was too late, with rosters torn asunder by injuries and players no longer caring.  Not exactly apples for apples.

But yeah, it's gonna be a fun few weeks as folks tout all those Zach's "wins" as a Jet.  SMH.
