Zach Wilson

A report from the Deseret news out of Utah claims that the New York Jets have let quarterback Zach Wilson know that the team will look to trade him this offseason.

Sources: Jets will trade Zach Wilson after the season

Looking to trade Wilson should come as no surprise given his tumultuous time in Green and White.  The question the Jets will face this offseason is what any potential suitors would be willing to offer.  Given his struggles, it’s hard to see more than a handful of teams showing any interest at all.  However, Wilson’s ceiling and the Jets long history of not being able to develop quarterbacks could pique somebody’s interest.

Through three seasons with Gang Green, Wilson looks nothing like the player he was at BYU.  A quick decision-maker with pinpoint accuracy in college, Wilson has devolved into a quarterback who holds on to the football for far too long, takes too many unnecessary sacks and appears unwilling to throw the ball down the field.

What other teams will wonder however, is whether or not Wilson’s struggles are entirely down to his ability, or if the Jets coaching and atrocious supporting staff played a bigger role than some may be willing to acknowledge.

Yea, I don't know how trustworthy this 'source' is. Deseret News is the only site that has gotten information about this and it spends the whole time sucking up to Zach and talking about how he "got kicked to the curb by the New York Jets".

However, it would explain why Zach is starting. They want to showcase him in a lost season.

The result was inevitable and the only option really short of just cutting him however, I need @Matt39 to confirm or deny this

he seems to have all the inside info with Zach, woody, the uncle JetBlue etc

Ha Jay Glazer, who’s as iron clad as it gets had  the Jets moving on last year. Then Uncle Woody stepped in. The issue with Zach is he’s Jets royalty and until another team steps up with assets, the Jets have to keep him.

Yeah he’s brought no one good here. No one at all

Like my golf game…. 85 shots….. 4 or 5 were excellent. Yet, i end up losing every weekend .  A few good picks is your defense????

Our Oline is perhaps the worst in the NFL, our QB situation is awful and our O is awful. Oh…his record????  Please.

I don’t remember a team telling a player weeks before the offseason that he’ll be traded?

this feels very odd any prob a bogus report

Especially since nobody else is reporting it, and I doubt Deseret News would be the only place to get it, unless it's straight from Zach himself, which I find unlikely.

It would explain why he's suddenly the starter again, though.
