Nathaniel Hackett made a great adjustment to the NY Jets’ offense

Great breakdown.  This is an example of what sets apart some of the coaches/coordinators in the league.  Just like how things have to slow down for a QB to 'get it,' coaches/coordinators need to see results 'faster.'  They need to see that the personnel they have isn't working for the play calls they want to make.  You need to let go of your ego faster and 'take what teams will give you.'

People on here have been calling for the 12 package from very early in the season when it was apparent that our oline could not hold up and that we were getting nothing from WR2 let alone WR3.

Of Course people were calling for Ruckert over Uzomoah at about the same time as well.

You just rewrote that monstrosity of an article in 1/64th the words. Thank you.

Jesus, does Nania have a proofreader or editor?

The trend has been to use a big WR in the slot, making it a de facto 12 package, but Davis’ retirement pushed Lazard out to WR2, which screwed the whole pooch. Hackett tried paring down Rodgers’ hand-designed system for Zach and ultimately seemed to scrap it a few weeks ago when Zach got benched. They were using Duane Brown as the move tight end, which seems to have worked, but Boyle kept missing downfield targets. I don’t think it’ll confound teams moving forward unless Breece Hall starts peeling off long runs again.
