  1. 1. Which scenario would make you more optimistic?

    • Run it back with Douglas Saleh and Rodgers
    • clean slate. New GM HC QB

On record as not liking the Rodgers trade, so I have to pick Fire them all, because I think the only way JD has a chance to stick is if he grows a pair and fires Saleh and his staff and finds himself a GENIUS on the offensive side of the ball.

Seems like ages ago when Rodgers made that 1 handed Int in practice. Things were looking up 🙃

Whether you like it or not they're all staying. I don't want to hear about anything other than O Line, O Line, more O Line, WR2, QB2/3 and even more O line in the off-season.

Doubt any top free agents will want to come here. What a dumpster fire.

I hope Rodgers retires

lol and a magician who can magically make JD a good gm ? He is built 1 of the worst offenses in NFL history. This is not a fluke, he’s been bad at building the O since coming aboard 5 years ago. Time for Joe doughnuts to go, fire him before end of year.

The same magician that predicted the Jets winning the super bowl on Hard Knocks

simple question. Two extreme choices. Either you run it back with everyone and a hopefully healthy Rodgers, or clean the slate. GM, HC, QB all new.

In a perfect world, I clean house fully and completely.  They've all earned it.

I'd keep some of our D, trade away others for assets to help fix the O, and retain a few guys on O (Wilson, Hall, Ruckert, AVT, Tippmann, maybe a few others).

But we don't live in a perfect world, we live in the world where no one will be fired, and we're going to run it back with Rodgers in 2024 because the Rodgers deal has no real way out of it.  We're wedded to him, or cap dead.  Probably for 2024 and 2025 tbh.

It's a good and tough question. I voted for answer no 1 keep them all only because of the Rodgers factor. Since they are all in financially next season for AR. Of course you can bring him back and still fire them what could he do about it. If he wants to collect his money. But I'd still give it a shot even though they both deserve to be fired.

Cleaning house is only an option if the replacements are better. New but worse doesn't give me any kind of optimism.

You need to find a GM totally fine with Rodgers's antics and knowing that you're patching up the Rodgers experiment and then you get to craft your team. The GM then needs to find a head coach cool with all the same and able to bring in a staff with the same mindset. A DC might be thrilled to have Rodgers on the other side of the ball, but how many good head coaches and offensive coaches want to deal with a QB who is going to tell them what the offense will be and how the game plan goes on gameday? How many quality GMs want to spend the start of their tenure pissing off the QB by ditching all his friends?

Absolutely a house clean would be the best way to go, but the very real problem with that is JD deliberately made the roster completely handcuffed to his own mortgaging of the future, that it would be virtually impossible for anyone else to do anything.

There is tons of dead money coming up tied to void years for completely garbage players who shouldn't be on the team, but who would cost more to cut than keep, including Rodgers who would come at about 4 times the cap hit if cut.

While in theory you can see a new GM gets the first year as a free pass for their gutting of the roster, it's also entirely possible no candidate worth a damn would ever want to go anywhere near that job if it won't even be possible for them to do what they want, which is the most likely reason for us getting to suffer through one more year of this disaster, despite it being doomed for failure.

Love Saleh and Rodgers. They just need a functional OL. Saleh has proven all he needs is competency from the Offense, and the modicum of roster competency from the GM.

He gets "competency" from his peers, Saleh is a SB contending coach year in year out. He's Pete Carroll 2.0.

Keep this dude, fix the weaknesses and build out

If Rodgers is cut the Jets literally will not have the cap room to sign 53 players.  It will be a complete fiasco.

Keeping JD and Saleh on their last lame duck years of their contracts is not a reward or a favor.  It is punishment.  Let them work for their futures and try to make something of this mess in 2024, and maybe give the fans a playoff run.

Then you clean late, but Woody has to promise not to be involved with the team in any capacity, anymore.

I am not a STH, and I would not so long as Woody Johnson had any active role with this team.  He is the one common denominator.

Why would the owner promise not to get involved? Some of you are just ridiculous.

If you hate the guy so much, find another team to root for. He owns this one, not you.

Look at the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts this year. Give me a new GM and a HC in 2024, because I can't take it anymore. At this time next season, I would love to see the Jets sitting at 8-6 in the mix for a chance to make the playoffs. That's who the Colts are this year with their backup quarterback. I'm tired of waiting for results with Joe Douglas. It's not all bad luck for JD. It's a collection of really bad choices in the draft and free agency that have hurt this franchise. Joe must go and Saleh has to go too.

3.  JiF never roots for this team again, like for real this time.

Jags have lost 3 straight since I became a "fan".

I think it was just Southern hospitality on their part.  They wanted to ease you into Jags' fandom by making you feel comfortable with stuff you already know!

Think what you want, but JD has not been terrible. There is talent on this team. Unfortunate injuries, and I'm guessing that with an offensive minded OC, or HC we would be in a much different position than Saleh's record. I'm not saying JD should stay, but he's not the only reason we suck.

I think it is time for people to come to the realization that for one, JD is not who we all hoped he was, and two, Saleh is not a good coach.

I HATE the excuse that this front office is running with regarding the injuries to the line and Rodgers. Prime example is the Browns. The Browns have started PJ Walker, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and Joe Flacco at QB. They lost both of their starting tackles and one of their backups. Their center is hurt. Their top guard is hurt and they lost Nick Chubb. They currently sit at 9-5 in the playoff hunt.

**** you Saleh.
