NFL Network and Battling Time Warner

If you, like me, are royally pissed about the fact that if you have Time Warner cable you cannot watch the NFL Network because they do not carry it please go to the website below and you can send Time Warner a letter telling them you want the NFL Network or you are leaving to get another provider. Simply go to the link, then click on "Get NFL Network," this takes you to a page to identify your cable provider then another page to enter in your name/email. After that a letter is generated by the website to be sent to Time Warner Cable which you click send and it is sent to Time Warner.

I'm hoping that the big football fans of Jetnation can help make this happen, so pass this on to whoever you know that is as unhappy as I am.

BTW, for those that are planning on responding with a "just get Direct TV" - I'm trying to avoid doing that because I have a very nice package with Time Warner that includes high speed internet that I would like to keep. (I also have no land line so DSL is not an option)

Thanks for the support!

I have TW and I like it for the most part. I also have a cable modem and it has been spotless. I wish they did have the NFL Network and I just sent that letter to TW requesting NFL Network.

LL

At least they have SNY and SNY-HD...the mets in HD!!!!!

he NFL Network currently does have a contract with Comcast, the nation's largest cable operator, but when the NFL Network acquired the package of games, it triggered a clause allowing the NFL to re-open the contract. Now, if NFL Network brass looks to drastically raise the price it was charging Comcast per month, per subscriber, it may end up being booted off Comcast's systems.

Remember, Comcast, which owns the Outdoor Life Network (OLN), tried purchasing the same package NFL owners eventually gave to their own network. So, at the present time, there is not exactly a love affair going on between Comcast and the NFL.

Raffy,

That letter link has been active for years. I've sent in 20 different letters myself and nothing has changed. Sorry to burst your bubble man

Thanks Mo. I'm still going to continue the battle until football season and then I'll make the switch to Direct tv if Time warner hasn't come through by then. I called them and told them flat out "I know you don't care because you have so many subscribers but you will be losing at least one customer come football season if this is not resolved."

The only leverage they have is the road runner, which can be had w/o cable service but it is costly as a stand alone item (I think like $60 a month).

I am in Queens and here its channel 741. It is sooooooo sweet. Once you have seen a baseball game in HD, you can't go back.

YES-HD is 708 and SNY-HD is 741.

HD RULES!

Thanks LL, my cousin is coming over tonight to watch the Mets game so I will have to give him the good news.

And yes, baseball in HD is a thing of beauty. The picture quality may be even better than football because there is so little action in a baseball game that you get a lot of static images.
