Blackout
im calling it Hafner could become the first DH to win the M-V-P award if A-rod doesnt win it again
Smizzy
Ortiz is a machine and it will be a long time before he runs out of steam.
124
Yeah blackout, Smizzy's right, are you on drugs or something? Ortiz is insane.
Blackout
well yes I am on drugs but I still say Hafner will have a better season than Big Papi not that Papi wont hit 40 dingers and atleast 120 RBIs
Green Jets & Ham
I was zeroed in on Hafner in those JN fantasy drafts and snagged him in two of the three leagues, at awesome value {like the forth round?} ... that was the smartest move I made in those drafts My best sleeper who I zeroed in on was SP Justin Verlander, and I landed him in all three leagues with extremely late picks ... like the last round Don't get me wrong, I had some serious goofs as well, but for value these were my two best targets ... I pegged where I could get them at good value and it worked
PFSIKH
im calling it Hafner could become the first DH to win the M-V-P award if A-rod doesnt win it again Haffner is an extremely talented player and an eventual successor to the best DH in the AL title. However, two things conspire against him. One, A-Rod will pad his stats in meaningless 15-2 blowouts while coming up short in other more meaningful games, but the media will overlook this because they all are still in love with him. Second, he plays in Cleveland. Unless he has a Bondesque type year, it will be hard for him to get the necessary votes. Playing in the Central is akin to playing AAA ball. Maynardrules#13
I was zeroed in on Hafner in those JN fantasy drafts and snagged him in two of the three leagues And I am very happy to have him to. But on to the main topic, I do think Hafner is a great hitter but not better than papi, yet.
Bergen Jet
Haffner is a very good hitter on the verge of greatness. Ortiz is one of the two best hitters in the AL who is known for coming up big when it counts. As much as I hate the BoSox putting Haffner in the same sentence as Ortiz is laughable. NY papers posting headlines calling him "Mr. March"? but your right, A-rod is the best player in the game and probably will win the MVP, although Hafner is my darkhorse MVP pick this year
PFSIKH
umm since when the hell did the media ever love A-rod? NY papers posting headlines calling him "Mr. March"? but your right, A-rod is the best player in the game and probably will win the MVP, although Hafner is my darkhorse MVP pick this year Yes, despite being labeled Mr. March all the A-Rd ballwashers still saw fit to vote him MVP. Ken Rpsenthal would like his left nut for a second of A-Rod's time. BTW did you think Ortiz was the better candidate for MVP? Ortiz, unlike A-Rod, carrierd his team and came in second? what chance does Hafner have playing in the Central unless ballwasher Rosenthal comes out with a let's get behind the small market team. NYJJared
Ortiz carried his team TO second as well.
PFSIKH
Ortiz carried his team TO second as well. Yeah, but unlike A-Rod who padded his stats in meaningless blowouts, Big Papi actually delivered game winning hits.
