Siemian is not a great QB, but he does generally get the ball out fairly quickly.

Zach's indecisiveness led to a lot of sacks.

But I was told Zach Wilson doesnt hold the ball too long. 

Oline is still bottom tier in the NFL but Matts point has truth - Zach Wilson made them look like the worst Jets Oline of all-time.

The line was fine against Cleveland and Washington too. Simien wasn’t taking sacks.

And Flacco.  Their sack rate was about 5 % from 2021-22.  Zach’s in that span:  9.6 %.

The main problem was communication. It’s probable that between Hack, Carter, Tippmann and Siemian that improved.

The same thing with giants and their 2 backups. Considerably better with devito or Taylor instead of jones. I think clearly when a defense doesn’t respect the qb’s ability to make quick reads/ accuracy, they are going to rush a ton and put a lot of pressure on OL. When they respect the qb’s abilities more they can’t risk the rush as much.

He's a professional QB who knows how to adjust protections and doesn't hold onto the ball forever.

He has the brain to play the position, he just doesn't have the physical tools.

Adjusting protection at the line, better on the play changes/audibles, getting the baller out quicker
