Would Saleh be a better Head Coach if he was also the Def Co ?

Random thought beyond Zach's trade value.  I think Ulbrich has done a good job given the circumstances but seeing Saleh on the sideline in what seems to be a daze just listening to others run the game is counter to some of the momentum he had when hired.  Emotional, players coach, "firey (sp?).  With effectively our OC on the field this year (hopefully all 17 games) I am surprised he has not made a move to take a more hands on role knowing this is his last/best chance to prove himself.
