Popular Post JetNation
One of the few bright spots on offense for the Jets in 2023 was the play of rookie center Joe Tippmann who has been named to the Pro Football Writers Association all-rookie team. #Jets center Joe Tippmann was voted to the PFWA's All-Rookie team. — Zack Rosenblatt (@ZackBlatt) January 23, 2024 The second round pick out of Wisconsin appeared in sixteen games (14 starts) at both guard and center, more than holding his own. According to pro football focus, Tippmann allowed just three sacks in 578 pass block reps. A highly touted prospect out of college Tippmann figures to be a long-term solution for the Jets along the interior. Whether that’s at center or guard remains to be seen. The post Joe Tippmann Named to All-Rookie Team appeared first on JetNation.com - New York Jets Blog & Forum.Click here to read the full story... 5

Popular Post Beerfish
Jets had to be dragged kicking a screaming into playing him at at all and then at center. He will be good for us for some time I think. Maybe not Mangold but a good solid long term center.

TuscanyTile2
@JustInFudge Who has the better hair? Joe Tippmann or former Jet, Paul Frase?
BCJet
Wait one second here - I was told that Juice Scruggs and John Michael Schmitz were better then Tippman and the jets didnt have the center position solidified for 2024....... Great season by Tippman, I still hope they bring back McGovern for insurance.

Warfish
I'll be honest, it didn't feel like he had an "All-whatever" kinda season, but congrats to him for the recognition.

The talent gap between healthy Becton, healthy AVT and Tippmann vs a broken Becton, 11 different RG's and Tippman is immeasurable. Injuries prevented the Jets from having a top OL loaded with young talent. Now they have to use pick 10 on an OL (or Brock Bowers). SMH. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app Tippmann and Carter Warren are two young pieces that I think can be good starters for a long time. Add in AVT and keep him at guard and then you have a lot of the problem figured out already. Free agent lineman to start at tackle and a round one tackle and they are in good shape.

Maxman
Had a conversation with someone at the end of the season, they have a connection to Joe Tippmann. They went on and on about what a nice kid he is. High character guy. You do hear that stuff a lot but this is someone that sees him off the field. Makes me happy, just want the dude to be plug and play for hopefully ten years.

Jimmy 2 Times
I was very hyped for the o-line entering this season. A healthy Ticket, AVT, the top rookie center, big FA guard, and Brown returning. I’ll never fall for that again.
