NYJCAP2
I found it very weird and clunky and anti-climatic on the last play. I just have no words for Romo, ironically. Also, I saw this thought out the game…
dbatesman
Romo was never great as a broadcaster, but he fully jumped the shark during the Bills-Chiefs 13 seconds game. Right before Butker's tying FG, he does "I'msonervous!!!" Come on, man.

People went gaga because of his ability to predict the play presnap, a skill that has rapidly deteriorated the longer he's been out of the league. Beyond that, it always sounds like he JUST did lines in the bathroom 1
Popular Post BigRy56
Romo was fun at first but his time has come and gone pretty quickly. CBS would be smart to snatch Greg Olson as their main color guy, since he's now been demoted and replaced with Tom Brady

They were complaining that he didn't give Nantz an opportunity to "call" the last play? I wish they'd both just shut up and let me listen to the ******* game. I certainly didn't need Romo to give Nantz more room to yell "Jackpot Kansas City" as if that tired Vegas reference needed room to breathe.

Yep, lest ye suffer from Chis Collinsworth disease, where the mouth refuses to respond to the "stop" impulse sent by the brain. Or the brain fails to send the stop impulse. No known cure, although Collinsworth has heroically championed on, despite the condition worsening with each passing year. 2 2

nj meadowlands
I think Romo is generally good. I do agree he needs to learn when to shut up sometimes and let the moment just play out. IMO, he’s not as good as Collinsworth, but still leaps and bounds better than Troy Aikman.

Jack Straw
Romo's lack of broadcasting experience was exposed on the final play. After the game winning touchdown, you have to let Nantz do his thing and then let the crowd's roar tell the story for viewers. A long, one-minute pause after the TD would have been appropriate. And then, and only then, do you break down the final play for the audience. Romo was clumsily speaking over a roaring crowd and he effectively ruined the moment. A more experienced, talented color analyst wouldn't have made that mistake. I have to imagine this was something that was discussed by producers with Romo leading up to the Super Bowl... jeremy2020
Romo is like a delirious old man telling stories where his mind is so far gone that the stories are no longer rooted in reality.
neckdemon
idk....i honestly couldnt care less who is broadcasting. i actually like romo when he is breaking things down though. he gives good insight. but mostly the announcers are background noise to me and honestly probably can't name more than one or 2 of them by name anyway

Jack Straw
1 hour ago, JohnnyLV said: Lol this is exactly me. I'm the opposite. When Vinny ruptured his achilles, I watched it repeatedly. When Pennington broke his wrist against the Giants in a pre-season game, the image instantly became my JetNation avatar. When Rodgers' achilles tore off his heel, I was comfortably numb knowing that our worst fears are always destined to become reality. Mecole Hardman catching the game-winning touchdown was the only fitting end to a disastrous 2023 season. I am incapable of feeling the pain this team instills on its fan base. For all intents and purposes, I am dead inside, and the Jets are the party guilty of killing my soul.
JoeNamathsFurCoat
I like Romo. At least he has a pulse, has an on-air persona, and is more entertaining than the walking corpses who do the vast majority of the other games.
Hex
At least Romo gets excited when something interesting happens. Cris Collinsworth and others are just like "And there's an interception and look it's a touchdown now" But honestly the main part of the game is what you see, not what you hear. Also Romo is obnoxious.
