TuscanyTile2
While I'd love Jacoby Brissett as our QB2, I also hope we trade DJ Reed for hopefully a 2nd rounder (or better!) We need young OL and WRs more than a DB on the final year of his contract. 3

doitny
Brissett is a FA. unless he already signed an extension with Wash which i would be surprised.

Plus we're getting closer to the point where we're going to have to start paying that terrific rookie class of 2 years ago. Trading a DB on the final year of his contract (when we already have Sauce) would be the smart move for the franchise. We're not going to be able to keep him. And if we do keep him, we'll end up losing someone else that we need as a result.
doitny
besides what does Wash need a shut down corner. playoff teams need that not one looking to draft a QB.

JAFJET
Trading for Sam Howell is too much like letting Zach Wilson go and getting the team formerly known as the Redskins Zach Wilson. 2

BigRy56
Yeah…. DJ Reed should be getting extended. Also - he’s right in terms of who’s the better backup the next 2 years
LockeJET
It’s not a crazy thought to trade Reed. There is no way they are gonna re-sign him because he is going to get completely paid in full and the Jets will have to make sauce A 100 million dollar CB shortly after.

Sause might want too much money. i like Sause but thats alot to give to a CB.

Popular Post Beerfish
I can certainly see why the Jets love Howell. Howells stats vs the Jets in the game last year. 6/22, 28% comp, 56 yards and 2 interceptions, 1.7 QB rating

August
Howell fell off after a good to solid start last season. However I’ve seen enough to feel like he can be a good option behind Rodgers for a year or two. He already has starting experience and is young enough with some upside.
August
As for Brissett of course I’d have him on the Jets, but I’m not sure if he’d come here. He probably wants a chance to at least compete for a starting job.

TheNuuFaaolaExperience
Yes to Brissett. No to trading Reed. This is as ride or die of a year that we have had since Favre. I'm not opposed to mortgaging the future to TRY to win it all this year and next.
