Barkus
Chargers are in cap trouble still. They are shopping 4 of their best players Bosa, Mack, Allen, Williams. Williams is coming off ACL injury so I expect him to be cut.

SomebodytoAnybody47
Perfect. By the time he’s done here, you can then pay G Wilson and Brock Bowers will be looked at as an absolute steal on his rookie deal. 2

So sure of themselves and the most cocky bastards you could hear from. Keenan Allen put up over 100 receptions and over 1200 yards in 13 games last year. 4

How do they get under by the start if the league year by trading, when no trade can happen until after the start of the trade year? I understand that the trade will give them relief after, but they will need to make room before no matter what.

Rogers needs another wr that can get open. Doesn't have to be all stars like Hopkins or Allen but can't be Kendrick moore or some other lazard type. Needs to be a Higgins etc someone that can get open and play off Wilson. Take advantage of single coverage
Jets and Redskins
We will have to sign a Wr. The odds of big 3 Wr getting to us is not good. They may go 4, ,5, and 6. Hoping for one of the two OT but that is unlikely. First 3 pick qb, Second 3 pick Wr, and then 2 OT, 1 DE and 1Cb. That leave the OSU OT and the Georgia TE at 10.

The rest of that is bonus that the Chargers paid. There is a $5M roster bonus due March 18, which I guess will cause the Chargers to pull the string. That would make $23M which is pretty high for an old guy, but probably won't even be top 10 at WR by the end of the FA period.

Makes it a little more palatable but that would still easily put us over the cap without some major restructuring of our own
Barry McCockinner
1 hour ago, shuler82 said: Makes it a little more palatable but that would still easily put us over the cap without some major restructuring of our own they can pretty easily make cap space if they want to. Potential restructures: LB C.J. Mosley, DT Quinnen Williams, DL John Franklin-Myers, WR Allen Lazard, LB Quincy Williams According to Over the Cap, the Jets could save a max of $67 million in simple restructures, or $79.4 million in max restructures. OTC has a good explanation about the difference, but ultimately it wouldn’t be prudent to push the maximum amount of restructuring since that pushes dead money into the future and will make it difficult to operate beyond 2024. Still, I fully expect Douglas to restructure a fair share of contracts. Mosley is in the last year of his deal but carries a $21.4 million cap hit, so Douglas can tack void years onto his contract or get Mosley to sign an extension. Quinnen Williams, Quincy Williams and Franklin-Myers would all be simple restructures (converting payments into prorated signing bonuses within the confines of the remainder of the contract) that could save as much as $23.6 million. The Jets also can (and probably will) restructure Lazard, though they likely want to cut him after 2024, so Douglas should avoid that as much as he can. Potential extensions: CB D.J. Reed, TE Tyler Conklin Reed ($15.6 million) and Conklin ($9.4 million) are entering the final year of their deals carrying big cap hits. Douglas could restructure them a la Mosley, or he could push for extensions, locking them into future years while reducing their cap hits for 2024. Reed has played at a Pro Bowl level for two years and Conklin has been solid and is worth keeping. The Jets can also extend cornerback Michael Carter II, but the 2021 fifth-round pick has only a $1.1 million cap hit in 2024.
