Jetsfan80
Is it just me, or has there been WAY more coaching movement EARLY ON this offseason in the college basketball world? Not just the big names, either, there is fluidity in the coaching ranks at every level of D-1 ball. Another trend that may increase in popularity? Big name coaches or other known retreads sitting out a year. Think about this. Head coach takes a year off, so he is no longer under the jurisdiction of the NCAA. He can do WHATEVER HE WANTS with potential recruits. Take them to school, have lunch with them, play some xbox. Anything he wants. Next year, he returns to a relatively average program and brings with him a GREAT recruiting class. Said team explodes the following season, setting the head coach up for a raise at a bigger school, or he can remain to be worshipped by the program he turned around. Mike Davis might want to consider this.
