RSJ
I'm a smoker who is glad they are making it inconvenient for us. I just recently quit for a month but then went back. I'm giving it another shot this saturday. Hopefully I can give it up for good.

We do need to follow the letter of the law. Being a NJ based website, these are the rules. Thanks in advance.

BwanaZulia
They did it in New York a couple years ago. I love it. There is a long thread over on ************* that talks about this. Basically one person is claiming it is against the Constitution to ban smoking. As a non smoker, who enjoys a few beers in a bar once in awhile, it is a God send. Bob
I can't seem to find the part of the Constitution that guarantees morons the right to spew burning **** into the air I'm breathing.
vanDoug
Excellent. BC went smokeless a few years ago, there was resistance at first to comply, then everybody did. To anybody thinking about quitting smoking. Do it. It's one of the best things you can do for yourself and those around you. You'll feel way better, won't get sick as much and hangovers are less severe. (worth it in itself) Now, if only BC would follow NYC's law about driving and mandatory headsets for cell phone use. Is it still the law there? Elsewhere? Drives me insane here watching people trying to drive, park, etc. downtown with one hand. Dangerous!! Which is good because a cell phone really gets in the way of the extra value meal. I found myself not supersizing as much. For some reason the regular size fries were easier to deal with while having one hand on the phone.

It's not just in NYC. It's statewide.
Matt39
The smoking ban in NY was one of the greatest laws ever. Coming home from the bar not smelling like ash and your hair all greasy is great. I was down in Philly last month where smoking in the bar is still permitted and I almost had to leave. Cigarette smoke makes me want to vomit. After a few beers though, I got used to it.
