Jet/BosoxFan
We're undefeated. Yes, thats right, I was up at the @sscrack of dawn and on the Pike to get there for Marathon Monday's traditional 11:00 starting time. And what a sight to behold! Hey...we arent supposed to win games like that anymore! If you add clutch hitting to our recipe for DOMINANT PITCHING and STELLAR DEFENSE...I smell a penant! Big Papi continues to show why he WAS...IS...AND ALWAYS WILL BE...the REAL Most Valuable Player! There will be no meaningless, stat-padding, unclutch homeruns from Papi
Matt39
You've never been to a Sox loss? How old are you and how many games have you seen?
Jet/BosoxFan
You've never been to a Sox loss? How old are you and how many games have you seen? Im 28 and I've seen more losses than I care to remember. I was referring to THIS year as today was my first time at the newly revamped Fenway. It's still a piece of ****...but we're undefeated when JBF attends!

Bob
I'm sure Patriot Day in Boston is a great time. I'd like to be there for that, one of these years.
haggis
It's a lot of fun. Game is early enough that the whole day is left. Check out a little bit of the marathon but avoid driving in the city.

Are most business' open this day, or is it a bit like an "unofficial" holiday? Truth is, I like these very early starts. While I would miss many games for being at work, it sure does leave a whole day to do things. Why can't weekend games start late Mornings? Then the whole day is not killed. Garb
State Offices are closed as well as schools (it's Easter -ooops, Spring Vacation week). Additionally, I'd say about 50% of the companies in Mass are closed. It's an "official" Holiday, actually. I grew up around the corner from the marathon route - right before the very first hill (heartbreak hill consists of four hills - should be called heartbreak hills). Been to my share of marathon parties: house parties, Lawn parties, Country Club parties....now I could not care less. But, I remember marking the date down on my calendar. It's one of the best "party" days of the year.
T-Mac
Yeah but T-Mac is 2 for 2 at Shea this year, with some dude named Nady 7 for 7 at the plate.

124
Oh ok. I was going to say that's pretty impressive. Hey I know I'm 10 years younger then Jet/BoSox but the Yankees are 16-0 when I go. Just got tickets for my birthday against Cleveland yesterday too.

Personally I love to watch Joey Gathright in CF, the man can run with any baseball player I have EVER seen.
