nycdan
One of my all-time favorite players. Came in and dominated his whole career. I can't think of a better way to honor him than posting this for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of seeing it. https://www.dallascowboys.com/video/throwback-thursday-larry-allen-chases-down-interception-266211
Joe W. Namath
This dudes strength was outrageous. I remember his doing bench press reps of 225 like it was a feather.

Hael
That video of him chasing down the linebacker is one of my favorite NFL videos of all time. When people talk about he most athletic NFL player of all time, his name has to be at the top of the list. Just an absolute beast. Jack Straw
From benching 700lbs like it was a feather, to tossing linemen with ease, to chasing down linebackers on INT returns, Larry Allen's highlight reels is unmatched.

FootballLove
Damn. 52 is sooo young. I doubt he even had too many chances to 'retire', kick back, relax, and enjoy the sunsets. So the article says he died 'unexpected' while on vacation in Mexico. To me, that means just a few things: 1- he had a bad heart that finally gave out while he slept. He was a really big dude, so this would be my guess. 2- he wanted to try something he wasn't really familiar with b/c he was on vacation, and he OD'd 3- he got shot in a car jacking/robbery gone wrong (it is Mexico, Afterall) or got caught up in a cross-fire protecting his wife 4- he died doing normal tourist stuff, like snorkeling. He got a bit too far out, a little over his skies, and never made it back to the boat. Or maybe a shark got him. Just b/c of his size, I'll go with 1) as my guess, died of a heart condition in his sleep. He gave football his all, and had little left for his golden years. Thought and prayers to his close friends and family. RIP big fella
