Jet_Engine1
Too many games coming out that won't be available on the good 'ol PS4, so I finally decided to get the 5. I'm in the middle of another (my second) playthrough of Fallout 4 and I love how things are going... can I transfer an in-progress game? I have things set up perfectly for some stuff I want to see play out - I have 32 heavily armed Minutemen in a reinforced and fortified Ft. Independence for when the Institute attcks us (funny, I lived about 3 blocks from Castle Island in real life, it's weird playing a game in an area I lived in, hell my old T-Stop in Copley is in the damn game), I have all of the companions I like (Synth Curie, Ada, Nick, Danse, etc) and my settlement network is awesome. SO, if I transfer data from PS4 to the 5, will this all be intact? Also, any game recommendations? I obviously want to play Helldivers II, the upcoming Dune game, and maybe CP77... any others? I hear Starfield is crap and not worth playing from a lot of YT gamer guys, any truth? Nerd gamer answers ONLY!! LOL

Man, I have High Hopes for Witcher 4... hope they don't screw that one up. Or just remaster W3 for the Next Gen.

I try to avoid 100 hour games these days.
Jet_Engine1
I guess not a lot of Video Game guys here... I found that it was getting harder to get into new TV shows, and don't want to rewatch The Expanse again for the 4th time, and HOTD is the only thing I have interest in that's on right now, so I dusted off the old PS4 a few months back and REALLY enjoy playing games compared to watching crap. LOL. As I said, I even went out and got the PS5 for my 53rd birthday a few weeks ago (Mrs. Engine's Idea - she's a nice lady) I got really into Fallout 4 but then stumbled onto Kingdom Come Deliverance and am now almost addicted to this INSANE game. Its reasonably historically accurate and is a First Person RPG that's damn near like a "Middle Ages Simulator" if that makes sense. It is HARD as hell, and you actually have to learn in game how to fight, how to deal with people, even how to READ. Early stages for damn near a few hours is only an INTRO into the game, and having played other RPG's like Witcher 3, I was trying to play like I was Geralt.... and getting killed in every altercation. It's frustrating at first.. until you realize and understand how different the game is from almost anything else out there, now I'm addicted to leveling up the character "Henry of Skalitz" and learning more about the world of 15th Century Czechoslovakia during the Reign of Wenceslaus in the Holy Roman Empire. It's crazy. Anyone else ever play this? Part 2 comes out this year, and I want to play through KCD I fully before getting the new game. KCD II Trailer: No wonder Hollywood is dying and Gaming is bigger than Sports, Movies, and TV COMBINED right now...

I had never even heard of it until you posted this but I'm not a massive gamer. I usually pick a game and play it for months on end. I played Elder Scrolls Online for years. I played Destiny 2 for years. Every now and then I'll play a title if it's highly reviewed like Fallout, the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk. I checked out the online review and it looks like it could be fun. Unfortunately it's not on game pass so I'd have to shell out $40 to buy it (it does come with all the dlc though.) I will definitely keep this on my radar. I will say the one thing I'm wary of is the FPV. I generally prefer third person for these types of games. But it's not a deal breaker. Thanks for the heads up!
Panzer Division Marduk
I bought FF7 Rebirth for PS5 when it came out (special edition) even though I don't have a PS5 yet. Still far too expensive here, and the PS5 Pro is apparently on the way. Though it'll probably be like when I switched to PS4 - hadn't bothered getting one til Rockstar set a deadline for everyone transfer their GTA account to PS4, or start all over aqain. Nolder
I’m a little late to this but I’ll tell you my experience with Starfield. At first I was actually really excited for it. For one I like sci fi but Fallout doesn’t really scratch that itch in the same way due to it being post apocalyptic. So the pristine cities and ships were more my aesthetic (although I prefer fantasy first and foremost). I love all the little perks and RPG mechanics so I was excited to make my own weird character that was good at cooking and punching things. I also like base building and while Bethesda has really not been great at it I was hoping it had improved and I was also excited to possibly build my own ship eventually. The story seemed kind of mysterious and I hadn’t seen any spoilers so all I really knew was humans left earth and are exploring space. When you have that much potential it’s easy to let your own imagination excite you. I wanted to explore planets and find one I liked and make my own home base from which I’d delve into the story or side quests at my leisure. When I actually started playing the game the leveling system was awful. The weapons had almost no variance or interest. Stealth mechanics (which are basically required for one factions side quests) were buggy even after leveling it up to the point of EXTREME FRUSTRATION. Melee sucked, gunplay was boring. Exploring was boring. Story was boring. Ship cargo was annoying. Characters were very very ugly to the point I was often off put by it. The cities and factions felt almost like entirely different games at times. Base building was complicated, which might have actually been a good thing…if I cared enough to build a base on these ugly desolate planets. Missions had almost no variation it was all fetch quests and escort missions mostly. Eventually I decided I would just push through the main story so I could say I beat it but I realized I just wasn’t having any fun at all and saying I beat Starfield would give me zero satisfaction so I stopped playing. 0/10 would not recommend.
