Warfish
Outside of catastrophic injury or off-field crime, I try real hard not to "worry" about anything NFL or Jets related in May, or June or July, especially contract/front-office stuff. When we get to August/September, and preseason, then I start getting frothy as needed. Today? Nah. Anyway, isn't the phenom that is Gumby McDonald gonna blow us all away this year and validate his pick? With QW and JJ too. So why worry about the D-line with all those amazing 1sts playing? Different time, different methodology. I’m just glad all my 5 kids are grown and on their own. I’d rather get a glass shard jammed in my pee hole than raise kids now. Too expensive, too complicated and I’m old and worn out like a NYJ starting tackle.
Bobby816
It’s voluntary and he’s a vet. If he’s not there for mandatory camps… I’ll worry. And when I say worry… he’s not exactly the piece that we need to rely on. We have other pass rushers. Ya he’s the best of the bunch. So not downplaying him at all. But he’s not so crucial where we should pay him whatever he wants

C Mart
Rich Cimini @RichCimini So to recap the Haason Reddick situation: He has not attended any voluntary workouts after being traded to the #Jets. He's had no communication with Saleh, who deferred to Joe Douglas when asked if Reddick is seeking a new contract. (Typically, Douglas isn't available to the media during OTAs.) Saleh: "I'm focused on the guys who are here and Haason's a pro. He's been in this league a while. He's produced it at a very high level for a long time. He's got his routine and if it makes people feel better, we know where he's at, we know what he's doing and we know he's working his tail off to get where he needs to get you to have a productive '24 season." Reddick has one year left on his deal ($14.5M) and it's believed that he wants an extension. By skipping workouts, he won't collect his $250K workout bonus. Per a twitter reply: "He’s working with Brandon Jordan down in Houston" Who is Brandon Jordan? Brandon Jordan is an American football player who most recently was a defensive assistant coach for the Ohio State football team. He was a pass rush specialist coach for Michigan State in 2022. In 2023, he was hired by the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League as a pass rush specialist. After spending one season in Seattle, Jordan left the Seahawks to return to the college ranks as a defensive assistant for the Ohio State football team. Testaverde9819
We do this song and dance every year. Voluntary, involuntary, contract, new contract. Unless he's not available week 1 it's not newsworthy imo, especially a pass rusher
extmenace
His 15m salary this year not guaranteed. When they swung this deal, they probably already knew they’d have to guarantee it before training camp. Would be stupid of him to participate in anything until JD guarantees this years money. I don’t see an extension coming. Hes a 1 year hired gun, maybe we retain him next year if the team / staff stay in tact after this season concludes.
JohnnyLV
The whole Reddick for Huff move was completely idiotic IMO. Let an ascending player go, sign a 1 year declining player. Cannot believe people think we upgraded this team. If we get an all time run of good luck with aging players maybe we get a year of performance but the odds of that are miniscule especially with the field we play on. Like I have said all the indicators are there for another disaster season but fans are just not seeing it. In the end I think this is one of the ugliest seasons in terms of underperformance to expectations we will ever see and we are headed to being the worst team in the NFL in 2026. (Yeah I can hear you all saying something "I don't care about 2026 I just want to make the playoffs this year!" Well-we won't. 2 1
