Okay, I think we’ve got our 12. A couple things to go over.

$50 buy in. Proposed payout structure: 

  1st: $400

  2nd: $150

  Regular season scoring champ: $50

I think Venmo or Zelle would be easiest if you guys have it. Otherwise there’s a site called LeagueSafe which stores fantasy league money. Upon receiving your entry fee I’ll give you a link to the draft room which will require a password. 

Draft night. I’m usually available Saturday, Sunday, Monday nights. The NFL Preseason ends Sunday 8/25. My proposal would be draft Sunday 8/25 in the evening. If that doesn’t work for y’all the next options would be Monday 8/26 or the following weekend, which is Labor Day. We could also draft on Saturday the 24th but there’s still an outside chance of injury with a few preseason games left.

A couple people have pushed back regarding start 3 WR. I’m happy to go back to the standard Start 1QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 1FLEX K DST if that’s what most of you want. Or add another flex which would be fun. Half PPR. I haven’t played redraft in several years so my mind is a little warped from larger dynasty lineups.

I prefer 3WR but could go 2flx instead. 2rb 2wr 1 flex is too few

I like 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 2 flex (rb/wr/te).  But with all that, we also bump QB passing TDs up.

I’ve decided 2 flex instead of 3WR and 1 flex. Maybe 5pt passing TDs? 6 feels a little too juiced imo.

+1 point bonus for 50+ yard touchdowns of any kind: passing, receiving, rushing

kicking: 3 points for FGs under 50 yards, 4 points for 50+. -1 point for missed XP and missed FG under 40 yards.

+1 point bonus for 300+ passing yards, 100+ receiving yards, 100+ rushing yards. +2 point bonus for 400+ passing, 200+ receiving, 200+ rushing 

Also decided on 6 man bench + 1 IR slot for the sake of having a better waiver wire. Feels like a nice balance between rewarding good drafting teams and keeping an active WW.

LOL....  as dumb as it sounds the two factions (those for 6 vs those for 4pts for passing TDs) in my 2 keeper leagues settled at 5 pts.  It's weird. But everyone has been happy with it ever since.  For some odd reason, the QB points and weight/value feel just about right.  We've been using 5 for nearly 20 years now. All has been quiet.  Always a good sign.

Not a huge Bonus fan, but these bonuses sound reasonable. Haven't played in a league with bonuses in a zillion years. Hate when "bonuses" are the deciding factor in a close contest.  Always seems dirty.

We’ve done similar bonuses in my main dynasty league for a decade. I like the rewarding of nuclear performances with a little extra something.

Others league members let me know if you agree with Dcat. Still spitballing with all these format rules but have a general idea of what I want for the league.

192 draft picks (+12 IR spaces). According to FantasyPros, the current players in that range are Dameon Pierce, Ricky Pearsall, Noah Fant, and Bucky Irving. That feels like a very reasonable cutoff point.

Also bear in mind other people have clamored for shorter rosters so I’m trying to strike the balance as commish, with all rules for that matter.

As for the draft, I am in Vegas next weekend and won’t be getting back home until late Sunday afternoon (barring any flight delays)
 

I could probably be ready to draft around 7:30 or later.  
 

Monday I can’t do, have tickets to a Pearl Jam concert. 
 

id love to play but don’t want my limited availability to draft cause any problems so if someone else wants in I will bow out.

Also... there are randomizers we can use to select a draft order as soon as all 12 teams are in.   Let's get rid of the 1 hour before draft idea because it sucks. It doesn't even look like we have 12 teams in.  I only see 7 claimed teams.  Time to fill those spots.

So 7pm draft on 8/25 wouldn’t work for you? I know Gastineau Lives will be drafting in Italy which would be 1:00 AM local time so not sure how much further I’d want to push the draft back that evening — unless there are more people who also can’t make it.

My flight lands back in Indy at 5:30 pm (barring any delays) it’s possible I could be home by 7 but 7:30 would be a safer bet.
