AFJF
Hadn't seen a thread on this yet but I was pretty happy to see JBC is playing corner after working at safety last season. Watched a bunch of his film in college and came away thinking he'd be a solid corner. Adds value and gives him a shot to hang around if they view him as a guy with CB/S versatility with focus being on CB.
T0mShane
Maybe more of a sign that they like Jaylen Key at safety?

But they also moved Isaiah Oliver from CB to S so I think they're just tinkering with some of these guys. Clearly a bias on my part having said after the draft that I thought JBC should play corner, but I do think he's better suited there and saw multiple reports that the Jets were working JBC at corner and safety last year but hadn't settled on one or the other. Looks like CB for now. Could be safety tomorrow.
Beerfish
I mean its nice he is going to CB but we do not need CBs we need S way way way more.

Square pegs don't fit in round holes, no matter how hard you try to bang them in. The Jets have done a pretty good job of developing late round picks into good defensive players so Ill trust their judgement here.

Everything fits if you hit it hard enough. 3 1

Safety is more of an unknown than a liability. Clark, Adams, and Davis isn’t a terrible trio.
