For anyone who never played sports beyond little league it may have appeared that Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Garrett Wilson were “mad at each other” the other day at practice.

A video of the two having an animated conversation emerged on twitter which led to headlines suggesting Rodgers was “irate” and implied the two were going at it.

In all reality, it was two adult men having an exchange in a competitive environment.  Both Rodgers and Wilson addressed their conversation today.

“There’s often appearance versus reality in real life and on the football field” said Rogers.  He stressed that both he and Wilson have a “great relationship” and that they were “passionately” going over a few details.

Wilson said the two had a “mutual feeling” of being unhappy with the fact that the offense was “getting our ass beat”.

So while the sexy clickbait headlines will likely be dripping with tales of conflict, dysfunction and anger, the reality of the situation as that two competitive guys were having a bad day and got animated in discussing what was going wrong.

Nothing to see here, folks.  Keep it moving.
