Rest In Peace Lauren

Sadly lost my own Mum to cancer over the weekend. It all happened so quickly, eight days in total from the date of her hospital admission to her passing. The sudden nature of it all has been a huge shock to our family, but there is some comfort at least to know she passed away peacefully and was not in pain for a long time.

I gave the eulogy at her funeral service yesterday and I hope @Maxman wouldn't mind too much, but I did borrow the line of "Cancer may have cut your time on earth short, but it never took your spirit". It's a great line that felt apt for my Mum's brief stay in hospital. Her doctors would regularly say that she looked so much stronger in person than her chart results would indicate. May both Lauren and my Mum rest in peace.
