Eagles trade for Jahan Dotson

Recommended Posts

Hmmm, interesting.  Clearly the new regime here was all-out on Dotson pretty quickly.

An odd move otherwise, the 'Ders aren't exactly a weapon-filled Offensive powerhouse as it was.

Dan Quinn going "Defense Wins Championships"?, lol.

How excited are they about the QB down there?

Have to think they're high on Luke McCaffrey and/or they know they're going to be an offense that is centered on feeding McLaurin/Robinson/Ekeler OR Daniels taking off?

Aye, I guess so.  I'll listen to the local drive-time show on the way home, see what's being said.

I've read on this board that the only good way to acquire good players is through the draft. Every other way is null and void.

Have you?

No exaggeration or hyperbole, right?

We have one poster that is extolling the entirety of the opinion for a GM based upon the  percentage of starting line-up that are comprised of his draft picks.

So yes, I have been told that here.

I kind of liked Dotson in his draft year, not sure what happened.

Watched all his games at PSU. The body is slight, and he can be bumped off a route fairly easily. Great hands and can make the acrobatic catches deep, but just not sure how his game works in the intermediate game in the NFL.

I say that, without watching him more than a handful of times at Washington.

So yeah, hyperbole.

My post contained nothing that suggested the plurality of that opinion. I clearly said in my original post that " I have read here".....

Citing an opinion of one person, certainly qualifies as being read here.

I did not say like some people here, "Jets Fans" say <my opinion inserted here>.

But, carry on.

I was high on Luke too! I also floated out Adam Peters as the Jets GM a while back :)

For my midlife crisis (or at least, the first one,) I had a '73 240Z. White. Bought it in 1995. I spent 5 years and thousands trying to restore it to be my daily driver. My friends called it "the Snowmobile", 'cause it was the same color as cocaine, just more expensive. I ended up donating it to the local fire department training center, on condition that they would crush it and burn it, in no particular order - and the fireman on the desk said "I can personally guarantee it." Fun to drive, when it didn't leave me stranded on the side of the road. AAA lost a lot of money on me those years. A few years later, I was cleaning out my file cabinet when I came across the folder with all the receipts for the repairs. Straight to the shredder without adding it all up - I would have hung myself had I done that.

Bunga,

I had a 1971 240Z, orange. Similar experience, I wrecked mine on ice near Newburgh. Wherever it is, I’m sure it’s costing someone something.

They were just fine, when new. I didn't have to replace anything twice - just everything once, mostly because they started rusting making the cross Pacific trip from Japan. From gas tanks to strut towers, it was body rot that made them the money pit, IMHO. The dual carburetor in line six ran like a top when the car wasn't shedding parts on the road ...

Good plan! We'd have torn that thing down to the frame with cutters, spreaders, hydraulic rams, petrogen torches, hand tools, knives, and our teeth within 2 hours for "Extrication Training".... 😆

And then set it on fire for Vehicle Suppression Activities....
