Smizzy
Jets | Team to attend J. Lewis workout Wed, 19 Apr 2006 19:08:54 -0700 The Washington Post reports the New York Jets will attend the workout being held Thursday, April 20, by George Mason basketball player Jai Lewis. He has spent four days training with Walt Cline, Velocity Sports Performance's director of athlete development, and former NFL TE Leonard Stephens. In the morning, Lewis will fill out paperwork and take written tests, including the Wonderlic. In the afternoon, he will be weighed and measured; will be tested in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and standing broad jump; and will perform agility and position drills for tight ends and linemen. faba
I would not expect much - read in the Times today he just started working out with a trainer for a week or so- so he probably will not impress much
Maxman
He has invested 4 whole days in football? Wow. His passion is right up there with Johnny Mitchell.

Jetheelz
jees...at first i thought they were gonna talk to jamal lewis... How about Jerry Lewis? Then he could play and hold a telethon to support the team each year.
quietjets
If we want a new TE then it has to be day one pick... I have enough of low tier TEs in the roster.
deadringer
actually, i dont think many teams are looking at lewis as a tight end...he claims to weigh about 290, so some teams are actually looking at him more as a defensive lineman...hey, he's worth a look, its not like anybody's drafting him, but as a UDFA he could be a decent pickup... MiamiJet
Didn't Stephens play TE for the Patriots?
MiamiJet
I found the answer to my own question. No he did not, although I swore he did at one time. Played for Washington and Detroit.
