Type 2 diabetes is easily reversible with no meds or insulin

Recommended Posts

FYI I'm not a Dr so please talk to a medical professional. Also note*** that type 1 diabetes is different and to again talk to a licensed doctor

A few years ago I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

I was immediately put on metformin and insulin

After about a year or more of gaining weight and my blood sugar still inconsistent I began to do some of my own research. I went keto. ( Basically zero sugar, very low carb and lots of protein and fat.)

I realized that by seriously limiting carbs my blood sugar and a1c improved but I still had to take metformin.

Here's where intermittent fasting changed my life. I discovered intermittent fasting about 9 months ago, but didn't start it until about 2 months ago.

I did one 24 hr fast, and then for 2 weeks I only ate between 12-8, ( 16 hours of no eating).

Guys with absolutely no medication, my blood sugar levels were completely normal within 48 hours.

My fasting was consistently in the 85-100 range and my 1-2 hr post meal barely got over 120-125

Not only that my heartburn completely disappeared and I no longer need Prilosec

FYI I learned that even longer fasting can seriously help serious Jets fans are the bests

Type 2 diabetes cure

Go keto

Pick a 16-18 hour window and do not eat anything. Not even a small snack. Do not snack in between in your eating window. At least not in the beginning. Incorporate mild exercise too . So for example 1 meal at 1230pm, another meal at 630pm. Obviously no sugar, very low carb. Low glycemic index foods etc.

If your type 2 diabetes is severe, start with consulting your DR, but go on a 1-2 week fast. This will speed up your recovery and give your pancreas/ liver/ kidneys a needed break which will improve/remedy  insulin resistance dramatically

Think of fasting and type 2 diabetes as a cup that is overflowing

Fasting helps drain the cup and lower the water, which keeps it from overflowing

Hopefully this helps.
