Popular Post SomebodytoAnybody47
I really don't understand what Reddick is doing. Just show up dude. Don't even have to have the intention to play week 1. Just get in the building and you can negotiate your contract. You think they're gonna kidnap you? Wtf is he doing. 8

Players can’t do the hold-in crap once preseason is over. The aiyuk situation is coming to a head due to this.

Thank you. Joe Douglas is clearly floundering, with alot of questions pertaining to Reddick - doesn't look or sound good. Fumbling a bit, constantly repeating how much respect he has for Reddick and his agent. Confirms he's not open to negotiating with Reddick, until he shows up, which is nothing new. Said Reddick would be welcomed with open arms, when he decides to show up. Talked about an extension with Reddick prior to the trade - but even though one wasn't agreed upon, he said he still felt good about making the trade. (This is where I question, what the hell JD was actually thinking at the time) Was asked if Reddick went back on a verbal agreement to show up & play under his existing contract - JD clearly side-stepped this question, without giving a direct answer, (perhaps trying to avoid throwing gas on the fire) he merely stated that "We've been clear & direct with our communication". Confirms he's had no recent communcations with Reddick's agent but says the phone lines are open. One thing he said that stood out is that "some decisions that are made, will reverberate throughout the entire locker room" it's pretty obvious he was referring to how they're dealing with Reddick's contract situation. Douglas said he hasn't spoken to Reddick directly, since he reported for his physical/press conference. I'd say these are all of the note-worthy high points of JD's interview, maybe others will point out some other things that I missed. I've never seen JD squirm this much, keeping his hands palms down, flat on the podium, kind of tough to watch.

I don't quite understand what happened with his Philadelphia contract. He should have had an out. But unfortunately for him, he is not going to be able to make it up from JD and Woody.
