Giving in to Reddick might mean we lose GW, Sauce or Breece.  Let him continue his hold out.

Sorry but you cannot think long term anymore.  We need to win now!!!

And we are actually extremely blessed to have this option.  Most teams cant lose a pass rusher and have a pro bowler waiting in the wings.

He'll still be here for the final 6 games of the year.  Sure, he'll fake an injury once he gets credit for being here for the year but Jets.

I don’t think this team wants to give him a long term deal. That’s the real issue here. You sign him now, it’s at the expense of the future.

Then you figure that out as a condition of the trade. That’s like the first lesson of the “how to be a GM” Duolingo course.

The relationship is irreparable. Douglas has made sure of that.

He’s not playing a down for the Jets.

Disagree. Short term guaranteed extension (‘24-‘25), fully guaranteed with some type of ‘26 option year and agreement not to use franchise tag.

I think it's pretty much a guarantee he gets a new deal soon after JJ going down. Dick move by him but an injury was always something that would benefit him.

Not a dick move. A freaking smart move.

Looks smart now. If our starting de doesn't get injured he loses a bunch of money.

It was always smart. He was betting on ANY pass rusher getting injured in the NFL.

This has been well discussed at this point. It’s all he said / she said. We’ve seen reports that the jets brought him in to play out his deal and Reddick changed his tune. As incompetent as some people think Jd is, I highly doubt he makes this trade if he thinks he’s going to have to extend him. He was likely supposed to get a raise this year and after the season ends, they figure out what works best for both sides.

This situation is gross.

Reddick has been waiting for the following scenarios:

1) Jets can’t rush the passer, in other words, hoping his new teammates are ineffective.

2)  A new teammate gets injured.  (Jermaine Johnson)

Seriously, eff Reddick.  Let him rot…

if GW can be neutralized like today, that becomes a different calculus. You easily make the decision to sign Reddick over breece but not GW or Sauce.

It's a more difficult situation with the Rodgers window, GW potentially not the A1 dominant WR, and the JJ injury.

He feels the jets ****ed him over on a long term contract since other teams were willing to trade for him...

He hates the Jets and wants to **** them over

Reddick played it correctly. “Let him rot” is the rightful ken of fans, not professional GMs.
