Popular Post Barry McCockinner
Aaron Rodgers looks rusty AF. He's missing passes he used to hit in his sleep, hesitating and panicking in the pocket and losing track of the play clock. Hopefully it is just rust. shawn306
He also had Saleh bail him out with two timeouts saving him from delay of game penalties. One of which would probably been a drive killer. Instead he hits Williams with a beauty of a pass. Defense still has issues. Too many penalties, Sauce was awful. (Also very very lucky that he wasn’t called for defensive holding on that that pass to Ridley in end zone on that final drive. I thought it was actually worse without Mosley, they just made a play on the last play. Running game has to be better. Hopefully it will as the OL begins to mesh

Popular Post TuscanyTile2
AR8 looks tentative out there but I think he can still make the throws. I think he'll continue to improve as the weeks go by. Mike Williams' catch was huge and I hope that marks his entrance into being a big part of this offense. One of the most encouraging parts of the day. Braelon Allen impressed and definitely needs his role expanded Sauce was not great (and should've gotten a holding call against him in the end zone) but I think he'll be just fine Quincy Williams made some impact plays and brought the energy It was very good to see Will McDonald make an impact. After last week's game when he either hardly played or looked invisible when he did, it didn't look like he had a very encouraging future here. Today he made a real impact. The INT by Echols was a tremendous play! I know this is a minor point considering he's probably out for the year but what is it with the refs never giving JJ any calls?! We were definitely fortunate that Levis imploded on that one play but football is often a game where you need to "win ugly". We badly needed the W and we got it. 10

There was a bizarre desire to "establish the run" early and it failed miserably. Titans knew we wanted to run and loaded up to stop us. I fully support a balanced attack and getting Breece touches but for most of the first half we looked like a team trying to hide its QB. 4

Popular Post #27TheDominator
Some good points. I was probably going to post some stream of consciousness sh*t, so I will throw it here. I get people not loving the coaching, but last week it was "why don't they make adjustments?" This week is it "why didn't they do this from the start?" Some of the early attempts at runs are frustrating, but I think that they do it to set things up later. The Jets want to bully teams and Breece is fast. Keep knocking and the door and sooner or later you going through. I think the Titans are a bad match up for us. Big and physical up front. They have much in common with the 2021-2023 Jets. Good team held back by inconsistent QB, OTOH, Levis bailed them out with his legs more than once and made some serious throws. First half MVP for me was probably Irvin Charles and he didn't block the punt until the 2nd half. He looked great as a gunner and Stiggers was usually right behind. I think the blocked punt was set up by not going after him all the time. Stonehouse gets blocked a bunch, and I remember a couple of times them not going after him. I bet part of the reason Charles faked that block out was the surprise that he was coming. Rodgers was kind of sloppy. The delays of game were unreal. Are they calling them tighter now? I remember for years thinking the clock expired and guys getting plays off. Maybe they don't allow that anymore or he isn't getting the Brady/Rodgers treatment he is used to. Seems a bit obsessed with drawing offsides, he will have to hurry that sh*t up. Two back sets seem like a thing. Breece can really catch. Allen? Not so much. He is okay, but I'm not expecting to get something from flexing him out at slot too often. No output at all from the TEs. Ruckert sat down on an easy one and Conklin not getting many targets. Lazard made some catches, but seemed to miss a few. WIlliams might have made the biggest play of the game. I look forward to him being able to play more. Line seemed pretty solid. They stopped trying so many longer developing plays and it paid off. Chuck Clark looked bad. Bad-bad. Like maybe the D looks bad because they miss Jordan Whitehead bad. A step slow a few times, wrong hole in the run game and not blasting people when he did go for the tackle. I think they started running Oliver back there a ton. Not sure why, but with the way Davis looked last week and Clark looked this week he seemed to stabilize things. I would not be surprised if they had a round of safeties in on Tuesday. They seemed to toughen up against the run. Not sure why but I know when Mosley went down they subbed in Surratt. I was suprised expecting Sherwood, but Sherwood was already out there. They played more 3 LB than I remember lately. Echols looked fine and I was glad to have Carter back. Sauce missed a few plays, but everyone does. McDonald got 3 sacks? I was surprised it was that many, but I hear people complaining that they can't remember them, or they were gifts. People wanted to pay $50+M for Huff. How many of his 17.5 career sacks can you remember? I will probably remember McDonald's third sack today more than anything Huff ever did. McGregor was the preseason darling and they gave him at least a series in the first half. There was at least one run where he pitifully allowed himself to get caught inside and then gave little effort to chase the play. Work in progress and with Johnson down I would expect to see more Jalyn Holmes at DE earlier in games when they are worried about the run. Lots of stupid penalties and some I question. Clark and Johnson both had questionable personal fouls IMO, but Rodgers got one back. Clemons almost got another one for continuing a play after the whistle, he definitely needs to calm the **** down. Bottom line, it was what I expected. A sloppy win and hopefully they pick things up next week. 11

David Harris
-the OL is light years ahead of recent years. AVT is the weak link rn, getting swum over causing blow ups. Hopefully just rust. - JJ’s loss is very significant - AR will only get better: Gives his guys opportunities to make plays. Nice believing on your QB. - Allen Agent Zero changes the offense- great use of him today -Offense hasn’t gotten into a rhythm. Feels like some good individual efforts, AR doing vet things, some clutch 3rd down completions but minimal flow - Feel lucky to get this win, early, on the road, against an underrated defense

Popular Post CanadienJetsFan
Here’s my observation: they should count their lucky stars that Levis plays hero ball, not QB. 100 total yards of penalties…again. Meanwhile our cheerleader head coach stares into the abyss. Rogers’ adjusting to go to a quick pass offence won us the game. Game after game, I’m becoming more convinced that Saleh’s incompetence is the only component that’s holding back this team. He doesn’t hold his players accountable for anything, personal foul-wise. If we had a REAL HC of the NYJ, this team is talented enough to make lots of noise this year. 4

OtherwiseHappyinLife
2 hours ago, CanadienJetsFan said: Rogers’ adjusting to go to a quick pass offence won us the game. Correct. We need to play off Rodgers and the short passing game, especially when teams stack the box. Mix in a couple deep shots and run off the pass. This isn’t that hard and I don’t care how ‘rusty’ Rodgers is. That’s not the point. We always seem to play into other team’s game plans rather than around them. The Offense changed at the end of the half when Rodgers threw early and often in a quick passing game. From there, Titans D was mostly off balance. Ruckert scores on a well thrown pass and Sauce plays more focused and the game isn’t as close.
