I'm not really surprised.  I always thought that Young was a bad draft pick for the Panthers or any team.  The new HC has no allegiance to Young.  He wants to win and keep his job.

Fastest hook I've ever seen for a first overall pick. 

I liked him coming out of college but it's been really bad. Makes you wonder if he needed a better situation or if he's just too small to make it work.

Strange that he got 2 games with a brand new offense.  They must really hate the guy.

Now they will win 5 games with Dalton and ,iss out on the top pick to get a qb.

The current Panthers roster is worse than most/all of the Jets rosters of the previous decade.  It would have been a miracle for a Youbg QB to blossom there.

I wouldn’t hesitate to offer a mid round pick for young and let him sit behind AR for a year or two.

It’s pretty bad.  Their #1 WR is Thielen who is a decent #2 who is getting old.  Chuba Hubbard is a JAG.  They have no offensive line.  They used a high draft pick on a RB who can’t even get healthy

The panthers took Maccagnan’s idea of trading away the picks he should have used to build a team around his young QB and for sh*ts and giggles took JDs idea of drafting a guy like Zach 3 rounds earlier than he should have been drafted.

I really thought this would happen when Carolina drafted him. I compared him with Tua. Very fragile with a small frame and needs a team with an excellent off. line. Like the Cowboys had. He was not a Murray who was able to scramble away from a hit. 
His strength was his accuracy on his passes. But that was with a great off. line like Alabama had.

He's worse.  Tepper overruled his GM, who wanted Stroud.  I don't think even Woody would do that.

Panthers are devoid of talent. Poorly run top to bottom. Trading away all your resources so your new QB has nothing around him was certainly a choice. Not to mention dumping the existing talent on the team for peanuts.

Yeah, ya don’t throw for a record low 3.2 YPA in a game (most throws with that low of a # in league history) against a “meh” defense without being a terrible QB.  

But sure, if folks want to rush to his defense over his performances to date, they can have fun with that.
