Mike Williams

He's definitely not going to be the most targeted WR on the team, but he's really good when he's healthy

The way some people were talking about him over the summer was kinda silly.

The only question mark with him is health. When he's healthy, he's a legit player.

He is an awesome weapon with a specific skill set that compliments the offense really well. So happy that he is so far along.

Garrett Wilson is an all pro level player who is getting the entire attention of the defense. Rodgers has missed him a bunch of times once every sync up he will be in the top of the NFL in “stats”

He is probably the most complete WR on the team. I would get him heavily involved as soon as possible. Hopefully he can stay healthy, and would probably be the most targeted WR by the end of the season.

LOL.  ummm.....   no.

Williams looks like he is going to be the player he was supposed to be. He's not all the way back yet, he still has rust to shake off. When he's fully back he isn't going to do things like mistime that jump on the pass he dropped in the end zone.

He isn't our best player by any means. Not even our best wide receiver. But I really think he is the key that unlocks our offense. Having him on the field and threatening the defense means teams cannot just roll coverage to Garrett. It also means that teams have to account for Lazard and Gipson and Conklin with coverage players further down the food chain, meaning those guys are more likely to get open and make plays as well.

Just a huge, huge addition to our offense

Strongly agree with this post.  And once he shakes off the rust he will be a major weapon for us.  He normally catches that TD pass from AR8 there.  Pretty much anything that hits his hands, he's going to catch.  Love the idea that we have a super accurate QB and a guy who can win jump balls like MW can.

The early play from the WRs has been very encouraging in general with Lazard being completely revitalized.

Last night Wilson and Rodgers were just not on the same page on a a lot the Wilson targets. Once they iron out the wrinkles, the sky is the limit with teams having to worry about stopping the run and finding someone to cover Williams who is open even when the DB is in his hip pocket.

Are you on crack

Garrett is the most talented receiver on the team, but right now he's failing to get both feet in on catchable back-shoulder throws, not winning 50-50 balls like Mike Williams, and missing catches that are catchable but not perfect. The details are what he talks about most but are his biggest challenge right now.

He'll figure it out, I'm sure, but right now he's very good and not great.

Agreed. If he was just some 3rd round draft pick, we'd say he looked fine, but he's not and his standards for himself are much higher than even what we as fans want out of him. He's a hard worker and I am confident that he will work out the issues, which appear to be timing and route depth related (at least to me that's what it looked like).

We started calling him “money Mike” last night.

expect to see him really take off against Denver

I really thought he was going to catch that pass in the end zone. I think he did too. So close. You have to remember that he missed most of training camp. He's going to be huge for us. Let them double and triple team Wilson. Williams one on one against CB2 is a mismatch that Rodgers will take advantage of.
