He’s what teams look for as a pass rushing force. His power game is improving. WMD, JJ and Reddick would’ve been something terrific if it had come together.

Forget about the if's.  We are a 3-6 team and that's the record we deserve.

3 L’s hang around a damn Kicker’s neck, so probably the “Best 3-6 team in the League”.

Outside of SF Week 1, they were IN Every game, which is rare.  I know over many years that my team has Lost lots of games but this year has been a “vast improvement”, now only if they can become a cohesive TEAM like tonight, they can Win lots of games.

True enough but considering the Texans are a playoff team you’d think they’d be able to keep stroud upright.  The dline still had trouble with the run and they didn’t protect the edge on strouds runs.

2nd in the NFL in Sacks with 8 (in 9 games), should have had 4 or 5 more tonight if he wasn’t Held 20x (for 0 Penalties, this league is something else).

This was Douglas’s “Every Dog has his day” Draft Pick.

How'd Jamien Sherwood look today?

Any overall thoughts on CB Michael Carter?

And Breece Hall?  The running back?

Any good in there?

Bobby Slowik is kinda an idiot, and their OL is severely injured to boot.

The fact that the jets still struggled against the run is more of a condemnation of the Jets than a compliment-worthy thing for the Texans... it's gonna be tough sledding for them from here, with all their injuries.

This is why you can't label guys a bust after 1 year....even if they are a 1st round pick.

I know a lot of us were scratching our heads at the pick when it was made given his pre-draft ranking and that the position wasn't a perceived need (at the time). I did think, looking at our roster in 2023, that the pick was made with an eye towards 2024 when guys like Lawson and Huff were probably going to be gone and knowing WMD was going to need a year in a NFL weight room to bulk up a bit.

Huh?

Douglas has hit on tons of picks

Zero first half points and 21 points total from the offense I wouldn’t call a “cohesive TEAM” effort. Take away Corley’s gaffe and it’s closer. Yet add in all the penalties esp the killer running in to the punter/snapper pens - still not a cohesive team performance. Last night’s effort won’t get the job done vs a high scoring team like Miami or perhaps next wknd vs Arizona.

Reminds me a little bit of John Abraham

Doesn't remind me of Abraham.  McDonald is a pure pass rusher.  Abraham when he was healthy was a game wrecker.  Forced fumbles, sacks, lots of tackls on RB for a loss.  Abraham's second year was one of the best defensive years for any Jets DL/LB in the history of the franchise.

He gets a lot of hate for missing key playoff games but that's because he was such a difference maker.

McDonald is more a pass rusher who can be run on.

99 isn't a game wrecker against the run but he hasn't been a liability like I thought he would either.
