Popular Post Greenseed4
I’ve been saying this for a while, he needs to ‘take it down a notch’ to be better. When QBs start out, they learn to scan the field and throw it to guys that are open. AR has been so busy proving this come-back narrative he’s out there trying to manipulate the defense with hands signals so he can throw no-lookers behind his back and win games with his professor-X powers. In the second half he just played ball. Not hero ball. Not 4D chess. Just throw it to the open guy for 5 yards, football. And that’s all we need. 4

That's what a 50-50 ball looks like. The circus catch was because of Wilson's position relative to the defender and his size. Rodgers ball placement was about as good as you can ask for, in that situation. Wilson was never open on the play, which is why they call it a 50-50 ball. You trust your star has the talent to get it vs. the other guy.

Let’s not act like he threw a dime though when the WR has to reach out and make a one hand grab. Give credit where it’s due, Barry. There aren’t many guys who make that catch, and do it as gracefully as GW did.

I think the first one was perfectly placed where the Texan couldn't get a hand on it and it needed a great catch to complete it. The second one was a spectacular catch, but it was 3rd and 19 and he knew the DB had no chance of getting it. Throwing it up and letting the WR make a play happens all the time.

I said what I said. If a receiver’s only chance to make a catch is with one hand and his arm fully extended, and he does it? That’s a great play by the WR.

I saw Corley drop the ball, watched for a few more minutes and turned the sh*t off and was shocked to see the score and highlights on GMF this morning. Guess I need to watch the shortened/no-ad replay of the game today. That being said, I didn't know that if a team has good WR's then the QB gets zero credit for completions and TD's. Thats an odd bar. Equating people rooting for their team to win to sucking cock is WHY people call you a Giants fan, dude... 6

See, here’s the problem with homers and guys who like to preach. When I say give credit to Garret Wilson for making two great plays instead of sucking the QBs balls for putting the ball “where only the WR can make a play” and guys come back with the Giants fan thing? I could care less. You’ve never seen me get upset by it. I just laugh, and give them a shot back. Why? I’ve been following the Jets longer than 90% of them, and I don’t need or want their approval. When they go there I know I struck a nerve. There are plenty of guys here I enjoy talking to, and you know you’re one of them. The others? Meh. 1
