Popular Post Adoni Beast
The fact that Jayden Daniels is amazing doesn’t hurt. But this is two QB drafted picks 1 and 2 between Daniels and Murray that Kingsbury developed into star/good QBs. I’ve watched a bunch of Washington games this year and I’ve been impressed with his play-calling, mixing in the run a lot more than I assumed. He wouldn’t be my top choice but I’d be pretty happy if he ended up being the hired HC. As far as his tenure in Arizona I don’t think he did a bad job, roster was meh, and had SF, Seattle, and LAR on the division when Seattle and LA were much better teams. 8

Popular Post FidelioJet
He checks the three key boxes I'm looking for. 1) HC experience 2) Creative offensive mind 3) Success developing QB's A hire like this would tell me the Jets have finally figured out at least the very basics of out how this league works. 16 1
Popular Post Rich Thornburgh
If you saw him on hard knocks you would know he is a great offensive coordinator who has zero business being a head coach. and he’s never working for Woody anyway he will get two dozen offers to be a division I head coach next January 4 1

No which is why he isn’t a top option for me but in the event we can’t find that guy….we need a young offensive mind who has head coaching experience and a proven track record of developing QBs.

I believed they had social media breaks during practice in AZ. Should go over well here. Saying he developed Daniel’s is also a stretch. That said, if he was able to grow from those experiences, maybe. 2

I think a Vrabel type with a good offensive coordinator would be solid. I’m usually anti defensive HC but this franchise needs a culture overhaul more than anything.

Yeah Vrabel is my top choice along with Pete Carroll….after that it is Monken, Ben Johnson, and Kingsbury.

Woody has to open his checkbook for once. He’s always been frugal bringing in C and D level coaches. Maybe the embarrassment of these last 14 years will prompt him to pony up some money for a real coach and GM.

Ask the Cardinals. Why did they fire him and eat ALL THAT MONEY. Seems to be a good OC/losuy HC. Where have we encountered same scenario Godd DC/lousy HC.. Get Vrabel or Gruden. Those are the only two I'd be onboard with. The great HC's are great on their side of the ball like any football coach. What differentiates them, is their ability to lead players. Lombardi was the Master in this respect as was Landry, Gibbs, Noll, Shula, Weeb, Brown, Allen, Reid, Parcells, Belicheat (?), Madden etc We need to find a guy that wont take BS from these players and demands excellence and respect. Vrabel or Gruden. Do it Woodpecker. 1
Barry McCockinner
Knock on him was crap defense and inability to adjust later in the season as teams figured out what they were doing on offense. Sounds like another coordinator who isn't cut out to be a HC to me.

If you want a HC with HC experience something went wrong in order for them to get fired. Gruden got fired fo making racist comments - not sure that's the guy we want in charge. No doubt but seems like he learned his lesson. and he's still a valuable commodity in teh NFL. Dude is a football guru. Have him do community service in Hemstead LI giving out turkeys during Xmas and Thanksgiving. I've seen him recently on interviews and such and he seems to be in a good place. 3
BigRy56
Yes. I am in. Been throwing this around as a possibility for a couple weeks now. Kingsbury has developed Mahomes, Kyler, and now Jayden Daniels. This would make a ton of sense if some of the safer choices like Vrabel get scooped up. He’s also got that flashy Hollywood vibe as a head coach. It’s just a fit from all angles
