Gannon is doing a good job with that Cards team. It'd be nice to see us win. Nice to see us show up and compete like a relevant team, unfazed by headlines or drama. It'd be an encouraging sign for Ulbrich as a coach.

Other than that, I dunno. One week at a time.

Probably somewhere in between. I don’t see this coaching staff getting the team into the playoffs but they’re talented enough to start playing more competently and maybe get to 8/9 wins.

one game at a time.  i think their win on thursday really silenced a lot of the naysayers especially those that were criticising rodgers ability.

It’s better than losing of course and can be the start of movement towards a run but making the playoffs and doing damage isnt but a fantasy right now.  
Just making it interesting and giving us a reason to watch and root them on would be a huge improvement.

No, but I will not select an option you provided. A win versus Arizona would still lead me to believe that we have a talented team that isn’t consistent and not disciplined. I do believe there is a chance to make a run at nine wins but until this team plays good for multiple weeks at a time, with minimal self inflicted mistakes, I’ll still view this as an inconsistent team.

All it would do is make them alive for another week. The most likely outcome will still be no playoffs. But we can still root for the unlikely scenario and keep a sliver of hope.

Winning will definitely get a little tingling going in my loins.  I won't be out here saying "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?!?!" but I'll at least put the white flag back up on the shelf for at least another week.  If you can then beat Indy before the bye, JN should actually be a pretty pleasant place for 2 weeks with a lot of hopeful discussion and "maybe we can do this" talk.  That said I ain't fully getting my hopes up until we get to .500, but a win this weekend will pique my interest, for sure.

Cards are a good team  and it’s a road game so it would be a step in the right direction but they need to stack a few games with no mind numbing bozo mistakes like Corley and Charles specials  to say they turned a corner

Of course. Until they are mathematically eliminated anything is possible. So even if they lose to the Cards, I'm pretty sure they WILL still be alive. 

But let's be honest. The Jets need to win the next 4 games. FOUR in a row. If they do, I will be pretty confident they can make it happen. It will put them at 7-6 having just beat a division rival (Dolphins) on the road. It would mean this is not the SOJ team and they are on fire. Getting to 9 or 10 wins will start to feel like a real possibility. And thats what will take get in the playoffs.
