Today’s game Exhibit A why Rex should be brought back

Rex wouldn’t need any major signings or high draft picks to fix this defense.  He took a career JAG who was barely in the NFL and made him one of the best Nose Tackles in the league for several years.  He would instill a nastiness and identity into the defense and rehabilitate Sauce.

 

Rex and Cam in 2025 let’s go.

If you have a top tier OC, all you have to do is decide if you want to go for it, punt, kick the FG, or go for 2. Of course there are other aspects of being a HC, but Rex got us to the AFC Championship TWICE with Mark Sanchez.

Not true. QW and his brother can both play in a 3-4.  McDonald’s size is prototypical 3-4 OLB

I'd support Rex coaching out the season until hopefully a real coach can be hired next season. Would make it worth watching a couple more games.

It’s wierd.  Rex gets universally mocked by jets fans yet he was .500 or better in all but 2 seasons of his tenure.  We haven’t been .500 or better in almost ten years but it’s Rex who sucks

He was ridiculous here ... Showed extreme deference towards vets, committed snafu after snafu and ran Mangini's roster into the ground.

you all need to come to terms with that Rex is probably the best we could get.

firing Saleh at 2-3 with 1st place on the line was so bad in so many ways. the biggest is now good HCs or good OCs will not want to come here.

we have a owner who could fire you after a 2 game losing streak 5 games into a season.

all that talk of Saleh finally getting a QB got only 5 games with Rodgers.

i think Rex is the best we are going to get. he is the only one who wants to be here.

McDonald would get eaten alive as a 34 OLB. There's no nose tackle. QW skillset would be wasted at 34 DE.

The responsibility of the 34 OLB is to set the edge. You think Will McD can do that? Reality is Clemons and JJ are more prototypical 34 OLBs. WmD will get manhandled
