Gainzo
I played football on Saturday in North Carolina. It was 95 degrees with 90% humidity and the field was like concrete. Needless to say wearing cleats was not a good idea. My feet are done! Blisters on both

Maxman
I spent 4 hours rafting on the Delaware 2 weekends ago. My hand is still blistered. When you find the magic treatment, let me know. I used to work with this guy who pitched minor league baseball like 7 or 800 years ago. Anyhow back in the day pickle juice is what he used. Actually worked pretty well.

I know that if you drink pickle juice it combats muscle cramps, but rubbing it on my feet doesn't sound cool!
Thor99
Believe it or not, the secret to avoiding blisters is panty hose. When I was in the Army and we had to go on a 25 mile road march, we would wear stockings under our socks. Never got a blister. Of course, I took it too far and wore a matching garter belt. I was implying that if you shoved your junk in a pickle jar it was relaxing. I have no idea if that would help or hurt a blister!

Sporting goods stores sell "sock liners" that are, essentially, stockings. Probably wouldn't help when you're beating the bishop, though.
Maxman
I used zinc oxide when I pitched. Actually worked pretty well. Interesting! I used to get blisters real bad when I pitched. The coaches didn't care. So what I started doing is getting bombed on purpose. After a 20 pitch outing there were no blister problems!

shutout
Only at JN can a "serious" topic get twisted like this. I love this place! Well..my post was serious. Honestly, there was a time when it seemed like I couldn't even look at a baseball or a bat without getting a blister. A coach told me to put that zinc stuff on the blister, and I'll be damned if it didn't work. as far as the topic and twisting...maybe if you didn't "twist" it,you wouldn't get any blisters!
