The team, which has played at Yankee Stadium since 1923, set the date Tuesday. It hopes to move to the new 53,000-seat ballpark for the 2009 season, and the new stadium is projected to cost at least $800 million. As part of the celebration of what the team expects will be Yankee Stadium's final year, New York hopes to host the 2008 All-Star game.

Gainzo
Less than Fenway.... Hope so! I haven't been to Fenway since 2003. It's a rip-off. My friends and I used to be able to grab $15 bleacher seats back in the mid 90's. Now Fenway is full of yuppie scum bags. No thanks. I'll watch the games at home. AFJF
I'll be overseas when the stadium opens but I'm going to start saving now for my plane ticket and game ticket. I wonder which will cost more?
