stormshadow19
...stop all the curtis bashing already. One thing that always gets my goat is when people compare players. Yeah I know it's done to kind of set a standard or to try and find a norm of some kind. But Curtis is not Jim Brown, Riggins, Barry Sanders or Priest Holmes. He is Curtis Martin damnit!!...He works out hard during the offseason and it shows during the season rather it be at a 4.3 speed or a 4.6. As long as the man is effective and helps the team and isn't hindering it, leave the man alone. He's our feature back and it's about time you all face it till they say otherwise....these threads about him really suck a$$... . Give it up already. Totally missing the point. It's not bashing. It's pointing out facts. That and some good natured ribbing (on my part, at least).
GimmeShelter
Martin has NEVER run over people and he has NEVER performed well in big games against good teams. That certainly won't change next year. Hasn't Martin had 100 yard games in the post-season? Naturally , though while play-off teams you'll explain to me how the opponent wasn't "really" a good team. PatsFanTX
Hasn't Martin had 100 yard games in the post-season? Only once. 1996 AFC Championship game against the Steelers he rushed for 166 yards (one run was a 78-yard TD run).

Savage69
What about 98 against Jacksonville or Oakland in 01? You are correct vs Jax he had 36 carries for 124 yds Oakland he had 106 yds!! Jax was the 17th rated Defense and Oakland was the 19th in 01! So those games don't count? Oh I get it, the defenses weren't top 5 so Martin really didn't have a good game. You will spin this topic to no end so I'll let it go. I think Martin stole your throw-back NY Titan's panties or something. Must of been tough for you to have to watch Martin all season.
