NIGHT STALKER
On a beautiful Friday night in Tampa, Florida, the New York Jets began the Eric Mangini era with a preseason match-up against the Buccaneers. Following a good showing in the first half, the Jets fell behind to the Buccaneers in the third quarter and eventually dropped a 16-3 decision. Chad Pennington received the much-anticipated start at quarterback for the Green & White and performed well on his two possessions while completing nine of 13 passes for 54 yards, but the Jets were unable to put any points on the scoreboard despite driving into Tampa territory both times. SoFlaJets
this is the most honest assessment I've read after watching the first half of this game-and THIS is what I like the most out of that article...Herm (who I can't help but compare what I've seen so far with) would have given them off until Monday The Jets return to the practice field Sunday with two workouts scheduled for 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

SoFlaJets
Graham just now missed a punt that would have pinned them inside the 5 nice effort by McClover hitting it back in from the EZ-I am encouraged from what I've seen so far from a lot of names I've only been able to read about Newhouse,Clemens,Leon W.,Brad Smith

SoFlaJets
Eric Smith has good quickness. I see Smith and Newhouse making this team and predict Justin McCairens won't be in Tenn. on September 10th-at least not wearing green
