JETS: To quote one of my undercover super scouts, Coach TJ, "Sure, let's change to a 3-4 without two-gap players and by midseason Jonathan Vilma will be voting for every guard for the Pro Bowl." OK, at this point it looks grim for the undersized MLB, but here's my suggestion. Kimo Von Oelhoffen is your prototype 3-4 DE, short, sturdy, blessed with fine leverage. Move him to the nose. Move Dewayne Robertson outside. Right, Von O is a little light for the position, so you'll have to get somebody to spell him (not so hard ... H-I-M ... I think I first used that joke around the time of Napoleon's coronation). But I think it would work.

I am hoping that Mangini is not so stubborn that he force feeds a defense to players that it will not work for. He claims to be flexible so only time will tell
