ST. LOUIS - Preston Wilson signed with the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday, after being released by the Houston Astros earlier this week. Wilson batted .269 with nine home runs and 55 RBIs with the Astros, but disappointed them with a lack of power. The Cardinals hope to improve their lineup against left-handed pitching. St. Louis was 17-28 against left-handers entering Friday's game at Chicago.
mbn007
He has had a decent career, but has obviously seen better days. Not much improvement there, but he will add to the bench.
Scott Dierking
He has had a decent career, but has obviously seen better days. Not much improvement there, but he will add to the bench. Duncan has done a great job filling in left field for them, but is left handed. Along with Edmonds being hurt right now, Wilson becoems a stop-gap and fill in guy
faba
Read somewhere recently their record against lefties is pitiful- like 10 or 11 straight losses against them so not a surprise for them to pick up a righty bat.
