TaborJet
I just scoured the listings on Monster.com. I got my pitching resume together, and was about to apply for a pitching job for Boston. Because even I can throw it over the plate better than those clowns.

GimmeShelter
Horrible of late and his numbers on the season are bad as well other than W's. Francona needs to wake up and give Beckett a start or two with Javy Lopez NOT behind the plate. Who'd a thought that Wang, on the road no less would own the only decent start so far in this series. PFSIKH
Tek can never retire. Becket had his ups and downs all season before Tek went down. However, it is to the point I would rather see Jason johnson pitch then Beckett without Tek. He has been horrible. Beckett is like any player with a world of talent. He has the stuff to be an ace. However, as has been covered in here many times and many forums like it, he needs to learn to pitch. Throwing only gets you so far. You eventually need to learn to pitch. If he does, he will be an ace. If not, he will go down as a player that never maximized their potential.

CrazyCarl40
Beckett in starts versus the Yankees in a Red Sox uni: 0-2, 20.80 ERA. Really? Because I'm almost positive he's 1-2. Not any better, but at least get your facts correct.

I don't know... I thought aside from that 4th inning, Randy looked pretty good.

Going by the newspaper articles it said he had only 2 starts this year. Blame the papers, not I. 1-2, still a piss poor ERA and the last 2 starts he's 0-2 with a 20.57 ERA. Still pathetic.
