Garb
...I've heard reports that Branch was traded to Seattle for a #1 pick. Can someone confirm this?....I'm searching, searching..... I'm not happy either, not after yesterday.....
aec4
Traded to Seattle for their 1st rounder. This is a steal.... for the Pats. Even though the Seahawks pick will be in the late 20s (they're hoping 32nd, I'm sure), it's still a steal for them.
johnny green balls
seahawks obviously believe they are one WR away and they just might be. branch would've been worth a lot less to a team like the jets.
NIGHT STALKER
Traded to Seattle for their 1st rounder. So what? Branch got what he wanted and the Pats will get a low first round pick...sounds to me Branch got the better deal of it.
AVM
a lot like the jets and their situation with abraham...2nd round value seemed to be the going price, but they waited out long enough to get a 1st round in both situations. I suppose its nice the pats got a 1st instead of a 2nd....but branch would be a whole lot more valuable than a 1st round pick next year, in my opinion. serphnx
Haha, it'd be kinda funny if Seattle absolutely bombed the year. After that game yesterday, it is possible that it's an early mid to late mid pick.
JonEJet
A 28-32 is a fair price for Branch Now the Pats are in full rebuild mode I love it

After that game yesterday, it is possible that it's an early mid to late mid pick. That would be prime position for thePatriots to snag a, let's say tight end. They could even parlay their picks together to move up and snag a tight end.

L.I.MikeBleedsGreen
Seattle Just Got Stroked By Belly & Co.too bad for Branch b/c Seattle will not make it back too the SB. And that's the facts Jack!!! stayed tuned!
Maxman
Belly is consistent with his belief that the Pats can with without a #1 WR on the roster. Unless they are going to set the record for safties in a season, I just don't see it happening.
James Hasty
Bad move by Seattle. they would have been better off giving the $6mil per year to Hutchinson.
joewilly
pats did well to get a 1st rounder for branch but it will definetly hurt them this year. Branch did well to get more money. seattle overpaid bigtime on both counts

Blackout
my two friends who are patriot fans and I were on a burn ride today and discussing football, and both of them think the patriots needed Branch back I myself thought he was over-rated by the Patriot fans on this board and certainly nowhere near the level of a Holt/Owens/Boldin/Fitzgerald/Moss/C. Johnson reciever But he's still damn good and I'm glad to see him off that team
