Callis, from BA.

Actually, he is starting to come around, but still feels that the Yankee System is "below par''.

Nah he's admitted that the yankee farm system is one of the better ones now but it took him awhile. He thought cano was a complete non prospect lol. Ovbiously he still AMAZINGLY underrates yankee prospects like Clippard for example but even he knows that the days of a barren farm system are over thanks to cashman.

the yankees farm system has produced Cano (.344 BA from the middle infield and a guy who's made plenty of huge defensive put outs), Wang (18 wins and 200 innings), Soriano (40-40 season AT RFK), Melky (whos just plain awesome), Nick Johnson (2nd in the NL in walks behind Balco Bonds*, 3rd to Pujols and Bonds* in OBP, 5th in NL in doubles)

sounds like the Yankees farm system is also teaching the players how to use their potential as pros

(too bad that didn't happen to craig hansen hahaha)
