Mavrik
Verlander -- 44 pitches through 2 innings. WOW. And the Yankees really haven't hit yet. Hello bullpen. He could pitch a shutout and still only pitch 5 or 6 innings. How'd you like that sick little curveball to strike out A-Rod in the first? Nasty. Maxman
Jeter strands 2....inning over. LOL. That is a bit of a reach. Jeter gets up with runners on 1st and 2nd and 2 outs. He hits a sharp ground ball to SS that is fielded cleanly for the 3rd out. ARod is unbeliveable though. I hope he steps up this postseason and puts these ghosts to rest. Maxman
How'd you like that sick little curveball to strike out A-Rod in the first? Nasty. It looked nasty. To drop 16mph off your pitches like that is brutal. This kid is good. He is going to be great.

kloogy
Takes a few years to see if a pitcher will be great or not. A lot of times they do great to start, and then once the league figures them out , game over. Injuries etc can also factor into play. Look at Kerry Wood. He is pitching very well. shawn306
Verlander is filthy. Breaking 100mph with his fastball and then drop a nasty 85 mph curve !?! If he really learns how to harness this stuff there is no tellling how good he can be.
