They have fallen apart without his bubbling personality and talent. This is a washed up group of hasbeens who will be lucky to be a very spunky Tampa team. Maybe they can trade for Cairo, another blunder by the Boy Wonder woth a 225 million dollar payroll.

Maxman, you may joke now about losing these "nobodies", but remember, the dominant Yankee teams from 1996-2000 were filled with plenty of "no-namers" like Joe Girardi, Charlie Hayes, Sterling Hitchcock, Scott Brosius, Chuck Knoblauch, etc. What has this current Yankee team of all-stars done? Nothing.

The guys I joked about losing never won it all. I remember those others all too well.

And you are right. That is a huge problem. The Championships teams had guys like Girardi that could bunt and run. These current "Super Star" team is not as cohesive and can't manufacture runs.

This is a big problem.
