Matt39
Considering I was actually rooting for the Mets tonight....after Beltran turned into a statue on 0-2, I remembered the amount of abuse I took from Mets fans back in "04. Better team lost. Anytime you lose Game 7 at home = choking.

124
If you're not down here in Yankee land you're missing out on one hell of a party. People dancing on cars, policeman toasting beer with under age children, hookers not charging for the next 3 hours, Mets fans crying in the streets as their Reyes and Beltran jerseys burn on fire... Okay, I'm done. Bye-Bye Mets.

SouthernJet
The only thing that matters is both NY teams played 0 WS games this yr. no way,, as a Yank fan I can see you feeling that way,, you have been consitently good for years,, as Mets fans we need to get to the consistent point 1st before expectations are as high as yours,, Met season was a success. Next year if they fix pitching then I expect the 'preseason' expectations might be for a subway series..
Matt39
There are no moral victories in losing to a team like the Cardinals at home in a Game 7. The Mets lost to an inferior team.

afosomf
Congrats SJ for making an Outstanding Prediction!!! You have the gahones, i am a lifelong Met fan and i would not have made it. Regarding Outcome... It was a great year for Mets and 99.1% of Met fans are thrilled with this team. I certainly am As a Yank fan and a $200M Payroll can any Yankee fan honestly say they are happy with this team The Mets will get Soriano to play 2b and a couple of starters and they will be in WS next year.
