124
Great game. Loved it except for the secondary once again not being able to cover anybody. Furrey did way too well against our seconday, always finding lanes to be wide open and breaking tackles. But, what was with all the empty seats? There were a few rows with NOBODY in it. That's pathetic. If people arn't going to the game and can't sell them, find someone to give them too so we can have a packed house. There had to be 5,000 empty seats. Pathetic. Oh and I got in a battle with a Lion fan who was escorted out at the 2 minute warning. Me of course, just fine.
jetophile
It was supposed rain. Hoax terrorism scare. Mild retardation. All three. Actually, it could have been even emptier, but the crowd was just sort of mellow, confident we'd pull it off, a little laid back. Good thing the team didn't see it that way; but if there was 4 mins. rather than 2:00 remaining, it could have turned into the winner is the team with the ball last and laughs last. Er, well, that is how it turned out. You get me. Still, a win is a win, and I'm happy tonight.

124
Were you two arguing over who's team invented the word "futility"? No. Actually, he kept pissing off the entire 123 / 124 sections with **** the Mets, **** the Yankees, they both suck yada yada yada and basically I started a tiny Lets Go Cardinals and Albert Pujols chants. He came walking by me to talk **** and I told him to get the **** out of my stadium and Lets Go Cardinals and to go back to his piece of **** poverty driven city (which yes, I was born in) and to go **** himself. The security guard came down as the guy got closer and took him out and we all basically went to the ******* chants... but in between we both had a few choice words for each other. But, still rooting for the Tigers, just, had to do it to piss the prick off.

The Giants don't own it either. It sucks playing in a stadium named after another team, but the Giants played in Yankee Stadium for years and never bitched. Second class status to the Giants is better than second fiddle to the Mets to play in that s$!thole.
BwanaZulia
Yeah, not happy with the fans this week, although the ones who were there stuck it out. Wonderful weather, good eats, great game, a win. What more could you ask for? BZ
Jet/BosoxFan
Was it me or was there waaaaaay too many Lions fans there??? I guess they have a massive national following, which is weird because theyre such a sh*tty NFL team and if you put a gun to my head and told me to name 5 players, I couldnt do it. faba
Actually I can not believe all the people leaving the game early. Was not good to see- if you are going to the game stay the whole game-you are not going to beat traffic anyway.

bitonti
having been stuck in that stadium parking lot for more hours than I would care to remember, i cannot begrudge any ticket holder who leaves early or simply doesn't go at all. It's a pain in the butt to get in and get out of that stadium and people have to work on Monday.

If you don't like to sit in traffic, give up your seats so one of the 10,000 people on the waiting list can go to the games. Traffic. Please. BTW: I live in Long Island City, do two rivers to get home and it only took me about 60 minutes and I left my seat when the last second ticked off the clock. BZ Gotta agree with BZ on this one. It's not like we're putting an unwatchable product on the field. If you can't go, give the tickets away for free. If it's too cold to stay (and it wasn't even cold yesterday), particularly in a game with scoring going on, move to Miami where fans are not expected to attend the games. Blurredorunfocused
Is there anywhere that lists official attendance figures for games? Over here for soccer in particular attendances are usually given along with results and often read out at games, yet I can`t recall ever seeing any figures given for NFL games. It's a pain in the butt to get in and get out of that stadium and people have to work on Monday. I agree, as far as the experience being difficult. Understand that if you go to the game it's an all day thing. I have a neighbor who never tailgates and is shocked he gets there late when he doesn't leave Brooklyn until 11:30 for a 1PM game, and proceeds to bitch about missing the 1st quarter. Get there early and cue while waiting an hour or so after the game. Though I still don't get the leaving the game early thing. It's why you go in the first place. And you're sitting in traffic anyway. The traffic does lessen a whole lot if you wait a bit. One thing that pisses me off-does NYC have to have BS street fairs and closures every Sunday? The Marathon, I understand(and I don't think we're impacted this year). But last Sunday they shut Manhattan down on a Sunday for a 5-boro bike tour. Instead we had to go SI to Goethals to 1/9. It's as if the NFL and NYC do not communicate at all about traffic headaches, because I hear the same complaint from Jints fans.
bitonti
hello. it was a one o' clock game so what if you leave from Long Island at 8:30am, get there at 10am, tailgate until kickoff, by the time the game is over you have spent almost a full workday in pursuit of the Jets. Enough is enough after a while. If there was a train out of Meadowlands it would be an easier choice. Instead everyone is trying to beat the traffic. It's a logistics problem. not to mention unless you know the parking lot really well finding the "exits" can be an adventure.
4HCrew
funny how all of these "fans" have no problem showing up for a rivalry game or a game against a good team but when the Lions come into town it is a ghost town. Sell your tickets to other fans.. yesterday was a complete joke

Again, there are 10,000 people waiting to go to the game. If someone doesn't like the traffic, the cold, the beer or whatever, just give up your tickets and let someone who wants to go go to the game.
