Browns | Perry could start Week 8

Mon, 23 Oct 2006 12:23:31 -0700

Scott Petrak, of the Medina Gazette, reports Cleveland Browns FS Jereme Perry could start Week 8 in place of injured CB Leigh Bodden (ankle). Bodden did not play in the team's Week 7 game.

 A FS starting in place of your shut-down corner? Wow. Losing Baxter hurt...losing Bodden for any extended period of time completely kills them. He sat out the Denver game but Baxter was in there and after Baxter went Plummer eaisly picked apart the Brown secondary when he wasn't giving the ball of to the Bell tandem.

Anyways...if Bodden doesn't play, both Coles & Cotchery, not just one of them, should have big days as well as of course Chad.

Since when the hell did Bodden become known as a shutdown corner?

Is it just because Kellen Winslow says so?

He consistently shuts down #1 Wide Receivers. Steve Smith even had his worst day of the season against Mr.Bodden.
